1 T he fool has said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt and evil are they, and doing abominable iniquity; there is none who does good.

(По слав. 52). За първия певец, по боледуването му, Давидово поучение. Безумният рече в сърцето си: Няма Бог. Поквариха се и сториха гнусно беззаконие; Няма кой да прави добро.

2 G od looked down from heaven upon the children of men to see if there were any who understood, who sought (inquired after and desperately required) God.

Бог надникна от небето над човешките чада, За да види, има ли някой разумен, Който да търси Бога.

3 E very one of them has gone back; they have altogether become filthy and corrupt; there is none who does good, no, not one.

Всеки един от тях се обърна надире; <всички> заедно се развратиха; Няма кой да прави добро, няма ни един.

4 H ave those who work evil no knowledge (no understanding)? They eat up My people as they eat bread; they do not call upon God.

Без разум ли са ония, които беззаконствуват. Които изпояждат людете ми <както> ядат хляб, И не призовават Бога?

5 T here they are, in terror and dread, where there was no terror and dread! For God has scattered the bones of him who encamps against you; you have put them to shame, because God has rejected them.

Там ги нападна голям страх, гдето нямаше страх; Защото Бог разпръсна костите на опълчаващите се против тебе; Посрамил си ги, защото Бог ги отхвърли.

6 O h, that the salvation and deliverance of Israel would come out of Zion! When God restores the fortunes of His people, then will Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad.

Дано дойде от Сион избавление за Израиля! Когато върне Бог Своите люде от плен, Тогава ще се зарадва Яков, ще се развесели Израил.
