1 B lessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.

Блажен тот, кто о слабом заботится, во время беды избавит его Господь.

2 T he Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.

Господь сохранит его и сбережет ему жизнь, счастьем одарит его на земле и не отдаст его на произвол врагов.

3 T he Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.

Господь укрепит его на одре болезни, и с ложа недуга его поднимет.

4 I said, Lord, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.

Я сказал: «Помилуй меня, Господь; исцели меня – я пред Тобой согрешил».

5 M ine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?

Враги мои зло говорят обо мне: «Когда же умрет он и имя его погибнет?»

6 A nd if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.

Если приходит кто навестить меня, то ложь говорит, а в сердце своем слагает злые слухи; потом он выходит и всем их рассказывает.

7 A ll that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.

Все враги мои шепчутся против меня, думают худшее обо мне:

8 A n evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.

«Смертельный недуг его одолел; он слег и больше ему не встать».

9 Y ea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.

Даже близкий друг, на которого я полагался, тот, кто ел мой хлеб, поднял свою пяту против меня.

10 B ut thou, O Lord, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.

Но Ты, Господи, помилуй меня; подними меня, и я воздам им!

11 B y this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

Из того я узнаю, что угоден Тебе, если враг мой не превозможет меня,

12 A nd as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.

а меня Ты поддержишь за непорочность мою и поставишь пред Собою навеки. Заключительное благословение первой книги

13 B lessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.
