1 H ow long wilt thou forget me, O Lord ? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

Как долго, Господь? Неужели забыл Ты меня навеки? Как долго Ты будешь скрывать от меня Свое лицо?

2 H ow long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

Как долго мне муку в душе носить и целыми днями крушить болью сердце? Как долго моему врагу надо мной кичиться?

3 C onsider and hear me, O Lord my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

Посмотри на меня и ответь, Господи, Боже мой. Глаза мои просветли, чтобы мне не уснуть смертным сном,

4 l est mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

чтобы враг не сказал: «Я его превозмог», – и когда я паду, не радовались бы недруги.

5 B ut I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

Я уповаю на Твою милость, мое сердце возрадуется спасению Твоему.

6 I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.

Господу буду петь, потому что Он ко мне благ.
