1 I n the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

Тем временем собрались огромные толпы, и люди теснили друг друга. Иисус начал говорить, обращаясь сначала к Своим ученикам: – Берегитесь фарисейской закваски, то есть лицемерия.

2 F or there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

Нет ничего скрытого, что не открылось бы, и нет ничего тайного, что не стало бы известным.

3 T herefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.

Поэтому то, что вы говорите в темноте, будет услышано при свете, и что вы прошептали на ухо во внутренней комнате, будет провозглашено с крыш. Имейте страх только перед Богом (Мат. 10: 26-27)

4 A nd I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.

Я говорю вам, Моим друзьям: не бойтесь тех, кто убивает тело и ничего больше сделать не может.

5 B ut I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

Я скажу вам, Кого бояться: бойтесь Того, Кто, убив, власть имеет ввергнуть в ад. Да, говорю вам, Его бойтесь.

6 A re not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?

Не продают ли пять воробьев всего за две мелкие монеты? Однако ни один из них не забыт Богом.

7 B ut even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

А у вас даже и волосы на голове все сосчитаны! Не бойтесь, вы дороже множества воробьев! Не стыдитесь Иисуса

8 A lso I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:

– Говорю вам: каждого, кто открыто признает Меня перед людьми, того и Сын Человеческий признает перед Божьими ангелами,

9 b ut he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.

а кто отречется от Меня перед людьми, от того и Я отрекусь перед Божьими ангелами.

10 A nd whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.

Всякий, кто скажет что-либо против Сына Человеческого, будет прощен, но тот, кто кощунствует над Святым Духом, не будет прощен.

11 A nd when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:

Когда вас приведут на суд в синагоги, к правителям и власть имущим, не беспокойтесь о том, как вам защитить себя или что вам говорить,

12 f or the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

потому что Святой Дух в тот самый час научит вас, что вам говорить. Притча о безумном богаче

13 A nd one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me.

Кто-то в толпе сказал Иисусу: – Учитель, скажи моему брату, чтобы он разделил со мной наследство.

14 A nd he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?

Иисус ответил: – Друг, кто Меня назначил судьей или посредником между вами?

15 A nd he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

И Он сказал им: – Смотрите, берегитесь жадности. Как бы ни был богат человек, его жизнь от этого не зависит.

16 A nd he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:

И Он рассказал им притчу: – Земля одного богатого человека принесла ему хороший урожай.

17 a nd he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?

«Что мне делать? Мне негде хранить весь собранный урожай, – подумал он.

18 A nd he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.

– Вот что я сделаю, – решил он тогда, – я снесу мои хранилища и построю большие, в них будет достаточно места для моего зерна и другого имущества.

19 A nd I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.

Тогда я смогу сказать себе: теперь у тебя полно добра на много лет. Отдыхай, ешь, пей, веселись».

20 B ut God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?

Но Бог сказал ему: «Глупец! Сегодня же ночью твою жизнь возьмут у тебя. Кому достанется все, что ты приготовил?»

21 S o is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

Так будет с каждым, кто копит богатство для себя, но не приобретает богатства для Бога. Иисус говорит о беспокойстве (Мат. 6: 25-33)

22 A nd he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.

Затем Иисус сказал Своим ученикам: – Поэтому Я говорю вам: не тревожьтесь о своей жизни, что вам есть, или о своем теле, во что вам одеться.

23 T he life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.

Ведь жизнь важнее пищи, и тело важнее одежды.

24 C onsider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?

Посмотрите на воронов, они не сеют и не жнут, у них нет ни хранилищ, ни амбаров, однако Бог питает их. Насколько же вы ценнее этих птиц!

25 A nd which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?

И кто из вас, беспокоясь может продлить себе жизнь хотя бы на час?

26 I f ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?

Если вы не можете сделать даже этого, то зачем вам тревожиться об остальном?

27 C onsider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Подумайте о том, как растут лилии. Они не трудятся и не прядут, но говорю вам, что даже царь Соломон во всем своем величии не одевался так, как любая из них.

28 I f then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Но если Бог так одевает траву на поле, которая сегодня есть, а завтра будет брошена в печь, то не оденет ли Он и вас, маловеры?

29 A nd seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.

Не беспокойтесь о том, что вам есть или что пить, не тревожьтесь об этом.

30 F or all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.

Ведь все язычники этого мира только об этом и думают, но ваш Отец знает, что вы нуждаетесь в этом.

31 B ut rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Ищите лучше Его Царства, и это тоже будет дано вам.

32 F ear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Не бойся, малое стадо, ведь вашему Отцу было угодно дать вам Царство!

33 S ell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

Продавайте ваше имущество и давайте милостыню. Приобретайте себе такие кошельки, которые не изнашиваются, сокровища на небесах, где ни вор к ним не подберется, ни моль их не съест.

34 F or where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Ведь где ваше богатство, там будет и ваше сердце. Притча о верных слугах (Мат. 25: 1-13; Мат. 24: 43-51; Мк. 13: 33-37)

35 L et your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;

Будьте всегда наготове: одежды подпоясаны, а светильники горящие,

36 a nd ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.

как у тех слуг, что ждут возвращения своего хозяина со свадебного пира. Когда хозяин придет и постучит, они смогут сразу открыть ему.

37 B lessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.

Блаженны те слуги, которых хозяин, возвратившись, найдет бодрствующими. Говорю вам истину, он тогда сам подпояшется как слуга, пригласит их к столу и будет прислуживать им.

38 A nd if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

Блаженны те слуги, которых хозяин застанет готовыми, даже если он придет среди ночи или перед рассветом.

39 A nd this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.

Знайте, что если бы хозяин дома знал, в котором часу придет вор, то он не позволил бы ему проникнуть в свой дом.

40 B e ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

Вы тоже должны быть готовы, потому что Сын Человеческий придет в час, когда не ожидаете.

41 T hen Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all?

Петр спросил: – Господи, Ты говоришь эту притчу только нам или всем?

42 A nd the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?

Господь ответил: – Кто тогда окажется верным и разумным управляющим, которого хозяин поставил над остальными слугами, чтобы вовремя раздавать им пищу?

43 B lessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

Блажен тот слуга, которого хозяин, когда вернется, найдет поступающим так.

44 O f a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.

Говорю вам истину: он доверит ему все свое имение.

45 B ut and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;

Но если тот слуга решит: «Мой хозяин придет еще не скоро» – и станет бить слуг и служанок, есть, пить и пьянствовать,

46 t he lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

то придет его хозяин в тот день, когда он не ожидает, и в тот час, когда он не знает. Он рассечет его надвое и определит ему одну участь с неверными.

47 A nd that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

Тот слуга, который знал волю своего хозяина и не приготовился или не сделал того, что хотел хозяин, будет сильно бит,

48 B ut he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

а тот, кто делает достойное наказания по незнанию, будет бит меньше. Кому было много дано, с того много и потребуют, и кому было много доверено, с того много и спросится. Иисус предупреждает о грядущих разделениях (Мат. 10: 34-35)

49 I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?

Я пришел принести огонь на землю, и как Я хочу, чтобы он уже разгорелся!

50 B ut I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!

Но Мне еще предстоит пройти крещение, и как Я томлюсь, пока это не совершится!

51 S uppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

Вы думаете, Я пришел, чтобы принести на землю мир? Нет, говорю вам, не мир, а разделение.

52 f or from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.

Семья из пяти человек разделится: трое против двоих, и двое против троих.

53 T he father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

Отец будет против сына и сын против отца, мать против дочери и дочь против матери, свекровь против невестки и невестка против свекрови. Иисус говорит о приметах времени (Мат. 16: 2-3; 5: 25-26)

54 A nd he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.

Иисус опять обратился к народу: – Когда вы видите облако на западе, вы сразу говорите, что будет дождь, и, действительно, идет дождь.

55 A nd when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass.

И когда дует южный ветер, вы говорите: будет жарко, и так и бывает.

56 Y e hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?

Лицемеры! Вы знаете, что означают приметы земли и неба, так почему же вы не знаете, какое настало время?

57 Y ea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?

Почему вы сами не рассудите, в чем истина?

58 W hen thou goest with thine adversary to the magistrate, as thou art in the way, give diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him; lest he hale thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into prison.

Когда ты идешь со своим противником в суд, постарайся примириться с ним еще по пути, иначе он притащит тебя к судье, а судья отдаст тебя стражнику, и тот бросит тебя в темницу.

59 I tell thee, thou shalt not depart thence, till thou hast paid the very last mite.

Говорю тебе, что ты не выйдешь оттуда, пока не выплатишь все до самого последнего гроша.
