1 W hy do the nations rage, and the peoples plot a vain thing?

¿Por qué se amotinan las gentes, Y los pueblos piensan cosas vanas?

2 T he kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take counsel together, against Yahweh, and against his Anointed, saying,

Se levantarán los reyes de la tierra, Y príncipes consultarán unidos Contra Jehová y contra su ungido, diciendo:

3 “ Let’s break their bonds apart, and cast their cords from us.”

Rompamos sus ligaduras, Y echemos de nosotros sus cuerdas.

4 H e who sits in the heavens will laugh. The Lord will have them in derision.

El que mora en los cielos se reirá; El Señor se burlará de ellos.

5 T hen he will speak to them in his anger, and terrify them in his wrath:

Luego hablará a ellos en su furor, Y los turbará con su ira.

6 “ Yet I have set my King on my holy hill of Zion.”

Pero yo he puesto mi rey Sobre Sion, mi santo monte.

7 I will tell of the decree. Yahweh said to me, “You are my son. Today I have become your father.

Yo publicaré el decreto; Jehová me ha dicho: Mi hijo eres tú; Yo te engendré hoy.

8 A sk of me, and I will give the nations for your inheritance, the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession.

Pídeme, y te daré por herencia las naciones, Y como posesión tuya los confines de la tierra.

9 Y ou shall break them with a rod of iron. You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.”

Los quebrantarás con vara de hierro; Como vasija de alfarero los desmenuzarás.

10 N ow therefore be wise, you kings. Be instructed, you judges of the earth.

Ahora, pues, oh reyes, sed prudentes; Admitid amonestación, jueces de la tierra.

11 S erve Yahweh with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Servid a Jehová con temor, Y alegraos con temblor.

12 G ive sincere homage to the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish on the way, for his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all those who take refuge in him.

Honrad al Hijo, para que no se enoje, y perezcáis en el camino; Pues se inflama de pronto su ira. Bienaventurados todos los que en él confían.
