To the Overseer. -- By sons of Korah. A Psalm. Thou hast accepted, O Jehovah, Thy land, Thou hast turned the captivity of Jacob.

2 P erdoaste a culpa do teu povo e cobriste todos os seus pecados. Pausa

Thou hast borne away the iniquity of Thy people, Thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.

3 R etiraste todo o teu furor e te afastaste da tua ira tremenda.

Thou hast gathered up all Thy wrath, Thou hast turned back from the fierceness of Thine anger.

4 R estaura-nos mais uma vez, ó Deus, nosso Salvador, e desfaze o teu furor para conosco.

Turn back us, O God of our salvation, And make void Thine anger with us.

5 F icarás indignado conosco para sempre? Prolongarás a tua ira por todas as gerações?

To the age art Thou angry against us? Dost Thou draw out Thine anger To generation and generation?

6 A caso não nos renovarás a vida, a fim de que o teu povo se alegre em ti?

Dost Thou not turn back? Thou revivest us, And Thy people do rejoice in Thee.

7 M ostra-nos o teu amor, ó Senhor, e concede-nos a tua salvação!

Show us, O Jehovah, thy kindness, And Thy salvation Thou dost give to us.

8 E u ouvirei o que Deus, o Senhor, disse; ele promete paz ao seu povo, aos seus fiéis! Não voltem eles à insensatez!

I hear what God Jehovah speaketh, For He speaketh peace unto His people, And unto His saints, and they turn not back to folly.

9 P erto está a salvação que ele trará aos que o temem, e a sua glória habitará em nossa terra.

Only, near to those fearing Him His salvation, That honour may dwell in our land.

10 O amor e a fidelidade se encontrarão; a justiça e a paz se beijarão.

Kindness and truth have met, Righteousness and peace have kissed,

11 A fidelidade brotará da terra, e a justiça descerá dos céus.

Truth from the earth springeth up, And righteousness from heaven looketh out,

12 O Senhor nos trará bênçãos, e a nossa terra dará a sua colheita.

Jehovah also giveth that which is good, And our land doth give its increase.

13 A justiça irá adiante dele e preparará o caminho para os seus passos.

Righteousness before Him goeth, And maketh His footsteps for a way!
