1 L ord, You have been favorable and have dealt graciously with Your land; You have brought back the captives of Jacob.

To the Overseer. -- By sons of Korah. A Psalm. Thou hast accepted, O Jehovah, Thy land, Thou hast turned the captivity of Jacob.

2 Y ou have forgiven and taken away the iniquity of Your people, You have covered all their sin. Selah!

Thou hast borne away the iniquity of Thy people, Thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.

3 Y ou have withdrawn all Your wrath and indignation, You have turned away from the blazing anger.

Thou hast gathered up all Thy wrath, Thou hast turned back from the fierceness of Thine anger.

4 R estore us, O God of our salvation, and cause Your anger toward us to cease.

Turn back us, O God of our salvation, And make void Thine anger with us.

5 W ill You be angry with us forever? Will You prolong Your anger and spread it out to all generations?

To the age art Thou angry against us? Dost Thou draw out Thine anger To generation and generation?

6 W ill You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?

Dost Thou not turn back? Thou revivest us, And Thy people do rejoice in Thee.

7 S how us Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, and grant us Your salvation.

Show us, O Jehovah, thy kindness, And Thy salvation Thou dost give to us.

8 I will listen to what God the Lord will say, for He will speak peace to His people, to His saints (those who are in right standing with Him)—but let them not turn again to folly.

I hear what God Jehovah speaketh, For He speaketh peace unto His people, And unto His saints, and they turn not back to folly.

9 S urely His salvation is near to those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him, that glory may tabernacle and abide in our land.

Only, near to those fearing Him His salvation, That honour may dwell in our land.

10 M ercy and loving-kindness and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

Kindness and truth have met, Righteousness and peace have kissed,

11 T ruth shall spring up from the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

Truth from the earth springeth up, And righteousness from heaven looketh out,

12 Y es, the Lord will give what is good, and our land will yield its increase.

Jehovah also giveth that which is good, And our land doth give its increase.

13 R ighteousness shall go before Him and shall make His footsteps a way in which to walk.

Righteousness before Him goeth, And maketh His footsteps for a way!
