And David and the heads of the host separate for service, of the sons of Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun, who are prophesying with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals, and the number of the workmen is according to their service.

2 D os filhos de Asafe: Zacur, José, Netanias e Asarela. Os filhos de Asafe estavam sob a sua supervisão, e ele, por sua vez, profetizava sob a supervisão do rei.

Of sons of Asaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asharelah, sons of Asaph, by the side of Asaph, who is prophesying by the side of the king.

3 D os filhos de Jedutum: Gedalias, Zeri, Jesaías, Simei, Hasabias e Matitias, seis ao todo, sob a supervisão de seu pai, Jedutum, que profetizava ao som da harpa para dar graças e louvar ao Senhor.

Of Jeduthun: sons of Jeduthun, Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, Shisshah, by the side of their father Jeduthun; with a harp he is prophesying, for giving of thanks and of praise to Jehovah.

4 D os filhos de Hemã: Buquias, Matanias, Uziel, Sebuel, Jeremote, Hananias, Hanani, Eliata, Gidalti, Romanti-Ézer, Josbecasa, Maloti, Hotir e Maaziote.

Of Heman: sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth;

5 T odos esses eram filhos de Hemã, o vidente do rei. Esses lhe nasceram conforme as promessas de que Deus haveria de torná-lo poderoso. E Deus deu a Hemã catorze filhos e três filhas.

all these sons of Heman -- seer of the king in the things of God -- to lift up a horn; and God giveth to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

6 T odos esses homens estavam sob a supervisão de seus pais quando ministravam a música do templo do Senhor, com címbalos, liras e harpas, na casa de Deus. Asafe, Jedutum e Hemã estavam sob a supervisão do rei.

All these by the side of their father in the song of the house of Jehovah, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God; by the side of the king Asaph, and Jeduthun, and Heman.

7 E les e seus parentes, todos capazes e preparados para o ministério do louvor do Senhor, totalizavam 288.

And their number, with their brethren -- taught in the song of Jehovah, all who are intelligent -- is two hundred, eighty and eight.

8 E ntão tiraram sortes entre jovens e velhos, mestres e discípulos para designar-lhes suas responsabilidades.

And they cause to fall lots -- charge over-against, as well the small as the great, the intelligent with the learner.

9 A primeira sorte caiu para José, filho de Asafe, com seus filhos e parentes; eram ao todo doze; a segunda, para Gedalias, com seus filhos e parentes; eram ao todo doze;

And the first lot goeth out for Asaph to Joseph; Gedaliah the second; he, and his brethren and his sons, twelve;

10 a terceira, para Zacur, com seus filhos e parentes; eram ao todo doze;

the third Zaccur, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

11 a quarta, para Izri, com seus filhos e parentes; eram ao todo doze;

the fourth to Izri, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

12 a quinta, para Netanias, com seus filhos e parentes; eram ao todo doze;

the fifth Nethaniah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;

13 a sexta, para Buquias, com seus filhos e parentes; eram ao todo doze;

the sixth Bukkiah, his sons and his brethren, twelve;
