1 “ Agora, filho do homem, apanhe um tijolo, coloque-o à sua frente e nele desenhe a cidade de Jerusalém.

`And thou, son of man, take to thee a brick, and thou hast put it before thee, and hast graven on it a city -- Jerusalem,

2 C erque-a então, e erga obras de cerco contra ela; construa uma rampa, monte acampamentos e ponha aríetes ao redor dela.

and hast placed against it a siege, and builded against it a fortification, and poured out against it a mount, and placed against it camps, yea, set thou against it battering-rams round about.

3 D epois apanhe uma panela de ferro, coloque-a como muro de ferro entre você e a cidade e ponha-se de frente para ela. Ela estará cercada, e você a sitiará. Isto será um sinal para a nação de Israel.

And thou, take to thee an iron pan, and thou hast made it a wall of iron between thee and the city; and thou hast prepared thy face against it, and it hath been in a siege, yea, thou hast laid siege against it. A sign it to the house of Israel.

4 “ Deite-se então sobre o seu lado esquerdo e sobre você ponha a iniqüidade da nação de Israel. Você terá que carregar a iniqüidade dela durante o número de dias em que estiver deitado sobre o lado esquerdo.

`And thou, lie on thy left side, and thou hast placed the iniquity of the house of Israel on it; the number of the days that thou liest on it, thou bearest their iniquity.

5 D eterminei que o número de dias seja equivalente ao número de anos da iniqüidade dela, ou seja, durante trezentos e noventa dias você carregará a iniqüidade da nação de Israel.

And I -- I have laid on thee the years of their iniquity, the number of days, three hundred and ninety days; and thou hast borne the iniquity of the house of Israel.

6 “ Terminado esse prazo, deite-se sobre o seu lado direito, e carregue a iniqüidade da nação de Judá,

And thou hast completed these, and hast lain on thy right side, a second time, and hast borne the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days -- a day for a year -- a day for a year I have appointed to thee.

7 d urante quarenta dias, tempo que eu determinei para você, um dia para cada ano. Olhe para o cerco de Jerusalém e, com braço desnudo, profetize contra ela.

`And unto the siege of Jerusalem thou dost prepare thy face, and thine arm uncovered, and thou hast prophesied concerning it.

8 V ou amarrá-lo com cordas para que você não possa virar-se enquanto não cumprir os dias da sua aflição.

And lo, I have put on thee thick bands, and thou dost not turn from side to side till thy completing the days of thy siege.

9 “ Pegue trigo e cevada, feijão e lentilha, painço e espelta; ponha-os numa vasilha e com eles faça pão para você. Você deverá comê-lo durante os trezentos e noventa dias em que estiver deitado sobre o seu lado.

`And thou, take to thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and spelt, and thou hast put them in one vessel, and made them to thee for bread; the number of the days that thou art lying on thy side -- three hundred and ninety days -- thou dost eat it.

10 P ese duzentos e quarenta gramas do pão por dia e coma-o em horas determinadas.

And thy food that thou dost eat by weight, twenty shekels daily; from time to time thou dost eat it.

11 T ambém meça meio litro de água e beba-a em horas determinadas.

`And water by measure thou dost drink, a sixth part of the hin; from time to time thou dost drink.

12 C oma o pão como você comeria um bolo de cevada; asse-o à vista do povo, usando fezes humanas como combustível”.

A barley-cake thou dost eat it, and it with dung -- the filth of man -- thou dost bake before their eyes.

13 O Senhor disse: “Desse modo os israelitas comerão sua comida imunda entre as nações para onde eu os expulsar”.

And Jehovah saith, `Thus do the sons of Israel eat their defiled bread among the nations whither I drive them.'

14 E ntão eu disse: Ah! Soberano Senhor! Eu jamais me contaminei. Desde a minha infância até agora, jamais comi qualquer coisa achada morta ou que tivesse sido despedaçada por animais selvagens. Jamais entrou em minha boca qualquer carne impura.

And I say, `Ah, Lord Jehovah, lo, my soul is not defiled, and carcase, and torn thing, I have not eaten from my youth, even till now; nor come into my mouth hath abominable flesh.'

15 “ Está bem”, disse ele, “deixarei que você asse o seu pão em cima de esterco de vaca, e não em cima de fezes humanas.”

And He saith unto me, `See, I have given to thee bullock's dung instead of man's dung, and thou hast made thy bread by it.'

16 E acrescentou: “Filho do homem, cortarei o suprimento de comida em Jerusalém. O povo comerá com ansiedade comida racionada e beberá com desespero água racionada,

And He saith unto me, `Son of man, lo, I am breaking the staff of bread in Jerusalem, and they have eaten bread by weight and with fear; and water by measure and with astonishment, they do drink;

17 p ois haverá falta de comida e de água. Ficarão chocados com a aparência uns aos outros, e definharão por causa de sua iniqüidade.

so that they lack bread and water, and have been astonished one with another, and been consumed in their iniquity.
