Lord, hearken to my voice, Thine ears are attentive to the voice of my supplications.

3 S e tu, Soberano Senhor, registrasses os pecados, quem escaparia?

If iniquities Thou dost observe, O Lord, who doth stand?

4 M as contigo está o perdão para que sejas temido.

But with Thee forgiveness, that Thou mayest be feared.

5 E spero no Senhor com todo o meu ser, e na sua palavra ponho a minha esperança.

I hoped Jehovah -- hoped hath my soul, And for His word I have waited.

6 E spero pelo Senhor mais do que as sentinelas pela manhã; sim, mais do que as sentinelas esperam pela manhã!

My soul for the Lord, More than those watching for morning, Watching for morning!

7 P onha a sua esperança no Senhor, ó Israel, pois no Senhor há amor leal e plena redenção.

Israel doth wait on Jehovah, For with Jehovah kindness, And abundant with Him redemption.

8 E le próprio redimirá Israel de todas as suas culpas.

And He doth redeem Israel from all his iniquities!
