1 （ 上 行 之 詩 。 ） 耶 和 華 啊 ， 我 從 深 處 向 你 求 告 ！

A Song of the Ascents. From depths I have called Thee, Jehovah.

2 主 啊 ， 求 你 聽 我 的 聲 音 ！ 願 你 側 耳 聽 我 懇 求 的 聲 音 ！

Lord, hearken to my voice, Thine ears are attentive to the voice of my supplications.

3 主 ─ 耶 和 華 啊 ， 你 若 究 察 罪 孽 ， 誰 能 站 得 住 呢 ？

If iniquities Thou dost observe, O Lord, who doth stand?

4 但 在 你 有 赦 免 之 恩 ， 要 叫 人 敬 畏 你 。

But with Thee forgiveness, that Thou mayest be feared.

5 我 等 候 耶 和 華 ， 我 的 心 等 候 ； 我 也 仰 望 他 的 話 。

I hoped Jehovah -- hoped hath my soul, And for His word I have waited.

6 我 的 心 等 候 主 ， 勝 於 守 夜 的 ， 等 候 天 亮 ， 勝 於 守 夜 的 ， 等 候 天 亮 。

My soul for the Lord, More than those watching for morning, Watching for morning!

7 以 色 列 啊 ， 你 當 仰 望 耶 和 華 ！ 因 他 有 慈 愛 ， 有 豐 盛 的 救 恩 。

Israel doth wait on Jehovah, For with Jehovah kindness, And abundant with Him redemption.

8 他 必 救 贖 以 色 列 脫 離 一 切 的 罪 孽 。

And He doth redeem Israel from all his iniquities!
