1 亞 伯 蘭 年 九 十 九 歲 的 時 候 ， 耶 和 華 向 他 顯 現 ， 對 他 說 ： 我 是 全 能 的 神 。 你 當 在 我 面 前 作 完 全 人 ，

And Abram is a son of ninety and nine years, and Jehovah appeareth unto Abram, and saith unto him, `I God Almighty, walk habitually before Me, and be thou perfect;

2 我 就 與 你 立 約 ， 使 你 的 後 裔 極 其 繁 多 。

and I give My covenant between Me and thee, and multiply thee very exceedingly.'

3 亞 伯 蘭 俯 伏 在 地 ； 神 又 對 他 說 ：

And Abram falleth upon his face, and God speaketh with him, saying,

4 我 與 你 立 約 ： 你 要 作 多 國 的 父 。

`I -- lo, My covenant with thee, and thou hast become father of a multitude of nations;

5 從 此 以 後 ， 你 的 名 不 再 叫 亞 伯 蘭 ， 要 叫 亞 伯 拉 罕 ， 因 為 我 已 立 你 作 多 國 的 父 。

and thy name is no more called Abram, but thy name hath been Abraham, for father of a multitude of nations have I made thee;

6 我 必 使 你 的 後 裔 極 其 繁 多 ； 國 度 從 你 而 立 ， 君 王 從 你 而 出 。

and I have made thee exceeding fruitful, and made thee become nations, and kings go out from thee.

7 我 要 與 你 並 你 世 世 代 代 的 後 裔 堅 立 我 的 約 ， 作 永 遠 的 約 ， 是 要 作 你 和 你 後 裔 的 神 。

`And I have established My covenant between Me and thee, and thy seed after thee, to their generations, for a covenant age-during, to become God to thee, and to thy seed after thee;

8 我 要 將 你 現 在 寄 居 的 地 ， 就 是 迦 南 全 地 ， 賜 給 你 和 你 的 後 裔 永 遠 為 業 ， 我 也 必 作 他 們 的 神 。

and I have given to thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land of thy sojournings, the whole land of Canaan, for a possession age-during, and I have become their God.'

9 神 又 對 亞 伯 拉 罕 說 ： 你 和 你 的 後 裔 必 世 世 代 代 遵 守 我 的 約 。

And God saith unto Abraham, `And thou dost keep My covenant, thou and thy seed after thee, to their generations;

10 你 們 所 有 的 男 子 都 要 受 割 禮 ； 這 就 是 我 與 你 並 你 的 後 裔 所 立 的 約 ， 是 你 們 所 當 遵 守 的 。

this My covenant which ye keep between Me and you, and thy seed after thee: Every male of you to be circumcised;

11 你 們 都 要 受 割 禮 ( 原 文 作 割 陽 皮 ；14 ，23 ，24 ，25 節 同 ) ； 這 是 我 與 你 們 立 約 的 證 據 。

and ye have circumcised the flesh of your foreskin, and it hath become a token of a covenant between Me and you.

12 你 們 世 世 代 代 的 男 子 ， 無 論 是 家 裡 生 的 ， 是 在 你 後 裔 之 外 用 銀 子 從 外 人 買 的 ， 生 下 來 第 八 日 ， 都 要 受 割 禮 。

`And a son of eight days is circumcised by you; every male to your generations, born in the house, or bought with money from any son of a stranger, who is not of thy seed;

13 你 家 裡 生 的 和 你 用 銀 子 買 的 ， 都 必 須 受 割 禮 。 這 樣 ， 我 的 約 就 立 在 你 們 肉 體 上 作 永 遠 的 約 。

he is certainly circumcised who born in thine house, or bought with thy money; and My covenant hath become in your flesh a covenant age-during;

14 但 不 受 割 禮 的 男 子 必 從 民 中 剪 除 ， 因 他 背 了 我 的 約 。

and an uncircumcised one, a male, the flesh of whose foreskin is not circumcised, even that person hath been cut off from his people; My covenant he hath broken.'

15 神 又 對 亞 伯 拉 罕 說 ： 你 的 妻 子 撒 萊 不 可 再 叫 撒 萊 ， 他 的 名 要 叫 撒 拉 。

And God saith unto Abraham, `Sarai thy wife -- thou dost not call her name Sarai, for Sarah her name;

16 我 必 賜 福 給 他 ， 也 要 使 你 從 他 得 一 個 兒 子 。 我 要 賜 福 給 他 ， 他 也 要 作 多 國 之 母 ； 必 有 百 姓 的 君 王 從 他 而 出 。

and I have blessed her, and have also given to thee a son from her; and I have blessed her, and she hath become nations -- kings of peoples are from her.'

17 亞 伯 拉 罕 就 俯 伏 在 地 喜 笑 ， 心 裡 說 ： 一 百 歲 的 人 還 能 得 孩 子 麼 ？ 撒 拉 已 經 九 十 歲 了 ， 還 能 生 養 麼 ？

And Abraham falleth upon his face, and laugheth, and saith in his heart, `To the son of an hundred years is one born? or doth Sarah -- daughter of ninety years -- bear?'

18 亞 伯 拉 罕 對 神 說 ： 但 願 以 實 瑪 利 活 在 你 面 前 。

And Abraham saith unto God, `O that Ishmael may live before Thee;'

19 神 說 ： 不 然 ， 你 妻 子 撒 拉 要 給 你 生 一 個 兒 子 ， 你 要 給 他 起 名 叫 以 撒 。 我 要 與 他 堅 定 所 立 的 約 ， 作 他 後 裔 永 遠 的 約 。

and God saith, `Sarah thy wife is certainly bearing a son to thee, and thou hast called his name Isaac, and I have established My covenant with him, for a covenant age-during, to his seed after him.

20 至 於 以 實 瑪 利 ， 我 也 應 允 你 ： 我 必 賜 福 給 他 ， 使 他 昌 盛 ， 極 其 繁 多 。 他 必 生 十 二 個 族 長 ； 我 也 要 使 他 成 為 大 國 。

As to Ishmael, I have heard thee; lo, I have blessed him, and made him fruitful, and multiplied him, very exceedingly; twelve princes doth he beget, and I have made him become a great nation;

21 到 明 年 這 時 節 ， 撒 拉 必 給 你 生 以 撒 ， 我 要 與 他 堅 定 所 立 的 約 。

and My covenant I establish with Isaac, whom Sarah doth bear to thee at this appointed time in the next year;'

22 神 和 亞 伯 拉 罕 說 完 了 話 ， 就 離 開 他 上 升 去 了 。

and He finisheth speaking with him, and God goeth up from Abraham.

23 正 當 那 日 ， 亞 伯 拉 罕 遵 著 神 的 命 ， 給 他 的 兒 子 以 實 瑪 利 和 家 裡 的 一 切 男 子 ， 無 論 是 在 家 裡 生 的 ， 是 用 銀 子 買 的 ， 都 行 了 割 禮 。

And Abraham taketh Ishmael his son, and all those born in his house, and all those bought with his money -- every male among the men of Abraham's house -- and circumciseth the flesh of their foreskin, in this self-same day, as God hath spoken with him.

24 亞 伯 拉 罕 受 割 禮 的 時 候 年 九 十 九 歲 。

And Abraham a son of ninety and nine years in the flesh of his foreskin being circumcised;

25 他 兒 子 以 實 瑪 利 受 割 禮 的 時 候 年 十 三 歲 。

and Ishmael his son a son of thirteen years in the flesh of his foreskin being circumcised;

26 正 當 那 日 ， 亞 伯 拉 罕 和 他 兒 子 以 實 瑪 利 一 同 受 了 割 禮 。

in this self-same day hath Abraham been circumcised, and Ishmael his son;

27 家 裡 所 有 的 人 ， 無 論 是 在 家 裡 生 的 ， 是 用 銀 子 從 外 人 買 的 ， 也 都 一 同 受 了 割 禮 。

and all the men of his house -- born in the house, and bought with money from the son of a stranger -- have been circumcised with him.
