1 D epois o anjo que falava comigo tornou a despertar-me, como se desperta alguém do sono,

And the messenger who is speaking with me doth turn back, and stir me up as one who is stirred up out of his sleep,

2 e me perguntou: “O que você está vendo?” Respondi: Vejo um candelabro de ouro maciço, com um recipiente para azeite na parte superior e sete lâmpadas e sete canos para as lâmpadas.

and he saith unto me, `What art thou seeing?' And I say, `I have looked, and lo, a candlestick of gold -- all of it, and its bowl on its top, and its seven lamps upon it, and twice seven pipes to the lights that on its top,

3 H á também duas oliveiras junto ao recipiente, uma à direita e outra à esquerda.

and two olive-trees by it, one on the right of the bowl, and one on its left.'

4 P erguntei ao anjo que falava comigo: O que significa isso, meu senhor?

And I answer and speak unto the messenger who is speaking with me, saying, `What these, my lord?'

5 E le disse: “Você não sabe?” Não, meu senhor, respondi. Oráculo sobre Zorobabel e o Templo

And the messenger who is speaking with me answereth and saith unto me, `Hast thou not known what these ?' And I say, `No, my lord.'

6 “ Esta é a palavra do Senhor para Zorobabel: ‘Não por força nem por violência, mas pelo meu Espírito’, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos.

And he answereth and speaketh unto me, saying: `This a word of Jehovah unto Zerubbabel, saying: Not by a force, nor by power, But -- by My Spirit, said Jehovah of Hosts.

7 “ Quem você pensa que é, ó montanha majestosa? Diante de Zorobabel você se tornará uma planície. Ele colocará a pedra principal aos gritos de ‘Deus abençoe! Deus abençoe!’”

Who thou, O great mountain Before Zerubbabel -- for a plain! And he hath brought forth the top-stone, Cries of Grace, grace -- to it.'

8 E ntão o Senhor me falou:

And there is a word of Jehovah to me, saying,

9 “ As mãos de Zorobabel colocaram os fundamentos deste templo; suas mãos também o terminarão. Assim saberão que o Senhor dos Exércitos me enviou a vocês.

Hands of Zerubbabel did found this house, And his hands do finish it, And thou hast known that Jehovah of Hosts Hath sent me unto you.

10 “ Pois aqueles que desprezaram o dia das pequenas coisas terão grande alegria ao verem a pedra principal nas mãos de Zorobabel”. Explicação da Visão do Candelabro Então ele me disse: “Estas sete lâmpadas são os olhos do Senhor, que sondam toda a terra”.

For who trampled on the day of small things, They have rejoiced, And seen the tin weight in the hand of Zerubbabel, These seven the eyes of Jehovah, They are going to and fro in all the land.'

11 A seguir perguntei ao anjo: O que significam estas duas oliveiras à direita e à esquerda do candelabro?

And I answer and say unto him, `What these two olive-trees, on the right of the candlestick, and on its left?'

12 E perguntei também: O que significam estes dois ramos de oliveira ao lado dos dois tubos de ouro que derramam azeite dourado?

And I answer a second time, and say unto him, `What the two branches of the olive trees that, by means of the two golden pipes, are emptying out of themselves the oil?'

13 E le disse: “Você não sabe?” Não, meu senhor, respondi.

And he speaketh unto me, saying, `Hast thou not known what these ?' And I say, `No, my lord.'

14 E ntão ele me disse: “São os dois homens que foram ungidos para servir ao Soberano de toda a terra!”

And he saith, `These the two sons of the oil, who are standing by the Lord of the whole earth.'
