1 L ord, remember to David’s credit all his humiliations and hardships and endurance—

Cántico gradual. ACUÉRDATE, oh Jehová, de David, Y de toda su aflicción;

2 H ow he swore to the Lord and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:

Que juró él á Jehová, Prometió al Fuerte de Jacob:

3 S urely I will not enter my dwelling house or get into my bed—

No entraré en la morada de mi casa, Ni subiré sobre el lecho de mi estrado;

4 I will not permit my eyes to sleep or my eyelids to slumber,

No daré sueño á mis ojos, Ni á mis párpados adormecimiento.

5 U ntil I have found a place for the Lord, a habitation for the Mighty One of Jacob.

Hasta que halle lugar para Jehová, Moradas para el Fuerte de Jacob.

6 B ehold, at Ephratah we heard of; we found it in the fields of the wood.

He aquí, en Ephrata oímos de ella: Hallamósla en los campos del bosque.

7 L et us go into His tabernacle; let us worship at His footstool.

Entraremos en sus tiendas; Encorvarnos hemos al estrado de sus pies.

8 A rise, O Lord, to Your resting-place, You and the ark of Your strength.

Levántate, oh Jehová, á tu reposo; Tú y el arca de tu fortaleza.

9 L et Your priests be clothed with righteousness (right living and right standing with God); and let Your saints shout for joy!

Tus sacerdotes se vistan de justicia, Y regocíjense tus santos.

10 F or Your servant David’s sake, turn not away the face of Your anointed and reject not Your own king.

Por amor de David tu siervo No vuelvas de tu ungido el rostro.

11 T he Lord swore to David in truth; He will not turn back from it: One of the fruit of your body I will set upon your throne.

En verdad juró Jehová á David, No se apartará de ellos: Del fruto de tu vientre pondré sobre tu trono.

12 I f your children will keep My covenant and My testimony that I shall teach them, their children also shall sit upon your throne forever.

Si tus hijos guardaren mi alianza, Y mi testimonio que yo les enseñaré, Sus hijos también se sentarán sobre tu trono para siempre.

13 F or the Lord has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His habitation:

Porque Jehová ha elegido á Sión; Deseóla por habitación para sí.

14 T his is My resting-place forever; here will I dwell, for I have desired it.

Este es mi reposo para siempre: Aquí habitaré, porque la he deseado.

15 I will surely and abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her poor with bread.

A su mantenimiento daré bendición: Sus pobres saciaré de pan.

16 H er priests also will I clothe with salvation, and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.

Asimismo vestiré á sus sacerdotes de salud, Y sus santos darán voces de júbilo.

17 T here will I make a horn spring forth and bud for David; I have ordained and prepared a lamp for My anointed.

Allí haré reverdecer el cuerno de David: He prevenido lámpara á mi ungido.

18 H is enemies will I clothe with shame, but upon himself shall his crown flourish.

A sus enemigos vestiré de confusión: Mas sobre él florecerá su corona.
