Salmo de David. BENDITO sea Jehová, mi roca, Que enseña mis manos á la batalla, Y mis dedos á la guerra:

2 M y Steadfast Love and my Fortress, my High Tower and my Deliverer, my Shield and He in Whom I trust and take refuge, Who subdues my people under me.

Misericordia mía y mi castillo, Altura mía y mi libertador, Escudo mío, en quien he confiado; El que allana mi pueblo delante de mí.

3 L ord, what is man that You take notice of him? Or son of man that You take account of him?

Oh Jehová, ¿qué es el hombre, para que de él conozcas? ¿O el hijo del hombre, para que lo estimes?

4 M an is like vanity and a breath; his days are as a shadow that passes away.

El hombre es semejante á la vanidad: Sus días son como la sombra que pasa.

5 B ow Your heavens, O Lord, and come down; touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.

Oh Jehová, inclina tus cielos y desciende: Toca los montes, y humeen.

6 C ast forth lightning and scatter; send out Your arrows and embarrass and frustrate them.

Despide relámpagos, y disípalos, Envía tus saetas, y contúrbalos.

7 S tretch forth Your hand from above; rescue me and deliver me out of great waters, from the hands of hostile aliens (tribes around us)

Envía tu mano desde lo alto; Redímeme, y sácame de las muchas aguas, De la mano de los hijos de extraños;

8 W hose mouths speak deceit and whose right hands are right hands fraudulent oaths.

Cuya boca habla vanidad, Y su diestra es diestra de mentira.

9 I will sing a new song to You, O God; upon a harp, an instrument of ten strings, will I offer praises to You.

Oh Dios, á ti cantaré canción nueva: Con salterio, con decacordio cantaré á ti.

10 Y ou are He Who gives salvation to kings, Who rescues David His servant from the hurtful sword.

Tú, el que da salud á los reyes, El que redime á David su siervo de maligna espada.

11 R escue me and deliver me out of the power of alien whose mouths speak deceit and whose right hands are right hands fraudulent oaths.

Redímeme, y sálvame de mano de los hijos extraños, Cuya boca habla vanidad, Y su diestra es diestra de mentira.

12 W hen our sons shall be as plants grown large in their youth and our daughters as sculptured corner pillars hewn like those of a palace;

Que nuestros hijos sean como plantas crecidas en su juventud; Nuestras hijas como las esquinas labradas á manera de las de un palacio;

13 W hen our garners are full, affording all manner of store, and our sheep bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our pastures;

Nuestros graneros llenos, provistos de toda suerte de grano; Nuestros ganados, que paran á millares y diez millares en nuestras plazas:

14 W hen our oxen are well loaded; when there is no invasion and no going forth and no outcry in our streets;

Que nuestros bueyes estén fuertes para el trabajo; Que no tengamos asalto, ni que hacer salida, Ni grito de alarma en nuestras plazas.

15 H appy and blessed are the people who are in such a case; yes, happy (blessed, fortunate, prosperous, to be envied) are the people whose God is the Lord!

Bienaventurado el pueblo que tiene esto: Bienaventurado el pueblo cuyo Dios es Jehová.
