1 V indicate me, O God, and plead my case against an ungodly nation; O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man!

Fă-mi dreptate, Dumnezeule, apără-mi pricina împotriva unui neam nemilos! Izbăveşte-mă de oamenii plini de vicleşug şi de fărădelege!

2 F or You are the God of my strength; why have You rejected me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

Tu eşti Dumnezeul, care mă ocroteşte: pentruce mă lepezi? Pentruce trebuie să umblu plin de întristare, supt apăsarea vrăjmaşului?

3 O send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill And to Your dwelling places.

Trimete lumina şi credincioşia Ta, ca să mă călăuzească, şi să mă ducă la muntele Tău cel sfînt şi la locaşurile Tale!

4 T hen I will go to the altar of God, To God my exceeding joy; And upon the lyre I shall praise You, O God, my God.

Atunci voi merge la altarul lui Dumnezeu, la altarul lui Dumnezeu, care este bucuria şi veselia mea, şi Te voi lăuda cu arfa, Dumnezeule, Dumnezeul meu!

5 W hy are you in despair, O my soul? And why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.

Pentruce te mîhneşti, suflete, şi gemi înlăuntrul meu? Nădăjduieşte în Dumnezeu, căci iarăş Îl voi lăuda: El este mîntuirea mea şi Dumnezeul meu.
