1 ¶ Halelu-JAH. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens; praise him in the heights.

Halleluja! Lobet im Himmel den HERRN; lobet ihn in der Höhe!

2 P raise ye him, all his angels; praise ye him, all his hosts.

Lobet ihn, alle seine Engel; lobet ihn, all sein Heer!

3 P raise ye him, sun and moon; praise him, all ye stars of light.

Lobet ihn, Sonne und Mond; lobet ihn, alle leuchtenden Sterne!

4 P raise him, ye heavens of heavens and ye waters that are above the heavens.

Lobet ihn, ihr Himmel allenthalben und die Wasser, die oben am Himmel sind!

5 L et them praise the name of the LORD; for he commanded, and they were created.

Die sollen loben den Namen des HERRN; denn er gebot, da wurden sie geschaffen.

6 H e has established them for ever and ever: he has made a law which shall not be broken.

Er hält sie immer und ewiglich; er ordnet sie, daß sie nicht anders gehen dürfen.

7 ¶ Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons and all deeps,

Lobet den HERRN auf Erden, ihr Walfische und alle Tiefen;

8 f ire and hail; snow and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word,

Feuer, Hagel, Schnee und Dampf, Strumwinde, die sein Wort ausrichten;

9 m ountains and all hills; fruitful trees and all cedars,

Berge und alle Hügel, fruchtbare Bäume und alle Zedern;

10 b easts and all animals; creeping things and flying fowl,

Tiere und alles Vieh, Gewürm und Vögel;

11 k ings of the earth and all the peoples, princes and all judges of the earth,

ihr Könige auf Erden und alle Völker, Fürsten und alle Richter auf Erden;

12 b oth young men and maidens, the old with the children,

Jünglinge und Jungfrauen, Alte mit den Jungen!

13 L et them praise the name of the LORD; for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above earth and heavens.

Die sollen loben den Namen des HERRN; denn sein Name allein ist hoch, sein Lob geht, soweit Himmel und Erde ist.

14 H e has exalted the horn of his people; let all his merciful ones praise him; even of the sons of Israel, the people near unto him. Halelu-JAH.

Und erhöht das Horn seines Volkes. Alle Heiligen sollen loben, die Kinder Israel, das Volk, das ihm dient. Halleluja!
