1 ¶ So all Israel were reckoned by genealogies, and behold, they were written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah, who were carried away to Babylon for their rebellion.

2 N ow the first inhabitants that dwelt in their possessions in their cities were thus of Israel, as of the priests, Levites, and the Nethinims.

Und die zuerst wohnten auf ihren Gütern und Städten, waren Israel, Priester, Leviten und Tempelknechte.

3 A nd in Jerusalem dwelt of the sons of Judah and of the sons of Benjamin and of the sons of Ephraim and Manasseh:

Und zu Jerusalem wohnten etliche der Kinder Juda, etliche der Kinder Benjamin, etliche der Kinder Ephraim und Manasse:

4 U thai, the son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the sons of Pharez, the son of Judah.

nämlich aus den Kindern des Perez, des Sohnes Juda's, war Uthai, der Sohn Ammihuds, des Sohnes Omris, des Sohnes Imris, des Sohnes Banis,

7 A nd of the sons of Benjamin: Sallu, the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hasenuah;

8 a nd Ibneiah the son of Jeroham; and Elah, the son of Uzzi, the son of Michri; and Meshullam, the son of Shephathiah, the son of Reuel, the son of Ibnijah;

9 a nd their brethren, according to their generations, nine hundred and fifty-six. All these men were heads of the fathers in the houses of their fathers.

10 A nd of the priests: Jedaiah, Jehoiarib, and Jachin;

11 a nd Azariah, the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, prince of the house of God;

und Asarja, der Sohn Hilkias, des Sohnes Mesullams, des Sohnes Zadoks, des Sohnes Merajoths, des Sohnes Ahitobs, ein Fürst im Hause Gottes,

12 a nd Adaiah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Pashur, the son of Malchijah; and Maasiai, the son of Adiel, the son of Jahzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer;

14 ¶ And of the Levites: Shemaiah, the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari;

Von den Leviten aber aus den Kinder Meraris: Semaja, der Sohn Hassubs, des Sohnes Asrikams, des Sohnes Hasabjas,

15 a nd Bakbakkar, Heresh, and Galal, and Mattaniah, the son of Micah, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph;

und Bakbakkar, Heres und Galal und Matthanja, der Sohn Michas, des Sohnes Sichris, des Sohnes Asaphs,

16 a nd Obadiah, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun; and Berechiah, the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, who dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.

17 A nd the porters: Shallum, Akkub, Talmon, Ahiman, and their brethren; Shallum was the head.

Die Pförtner aber waren: Sallum, Akkub, Talmon, Ahiman mit ihren Brüdern; und Sallum war der Oberste,

18 A nd until now in the companies of the sons of Levi these have been the porters in the king’s gate towards the east.

und er hat bisher am Tor des Königs gegen Aufgang gewartet. Dies sind die Pförtner in den Lagern der Kinder Levi.

19 A nd Shallum, the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brethren of the house of his father, the Korahites, were over the work of the ministry, keepers of the gates of the tabernacle; and their fathers, being over the camp of the LORD, were keepers of the entry.

Und Sallum, der Sohn Kores, des Sohnes Abiasaphs, des Sohnes Korahs, und seine Brüder aus seinem Vaterhause, die Korahiter, waren im Geschäft des Amts, daß sie warteten an der Schwelle der Hütte, wie auch ihre Väter im Lager des HERRN des Eingangs gewartet hatten.

20 A nd Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, was the captain over them in time past, and the LORD was with him.

Pinehas aber, der Sohn Eleasars, war vorzeiten Fürst über sie, darum daß der HERR mit ihm gewesen war.

21 A nd Zechariah, the son of Meshelemiah, was porter of the door of the tabernacle of the testimony.

Sacharja aber, der Sohn Meselemjas, war Hüter am Tor der Hütte des Stifts.

22 A ll these which were chosen to be porters in the gates were two hundred and twelve when they were reckoned by their genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel, the seer, ordained in their set office.

Alle diese waren auserlesen zu Hütern an der Schwelle, zweihundertundzwölf; die waren aufgezeichnet in ihren Dörfern. Und David und Samuel, der Seher, setzten sie ein auf Glauben,

23 S o they and their sons had the oversight of the gates of the house of the LORD, namely, the house of the tabernacle, by wards.

daß sie und ihre Kinder hüten sollten die Tore am Hause des HERRN, nämlich an dem Hause der Hütte, daß sie sein warteten.

24 T owards the four winds were the porters, toward the east, west, north, and Negev.

Es waren aber solche Torwächter gegen die vier Winde gestellt: gegen Morgen, gegen Abend, gegen Mitternacht, gegen Mittag.

25 A nd their brethren, who were in their villages, came every seven days in their set times with them.

Ihre Brüder aber waren auf ihren Dörfern, daß sie hereinkämen allezeit je des siebenten Tages, bei ihnen zu sein,

26 F or these Levites, the four chief porters, were in their set office and were over the chambers and treasures of the house of God.

Denn auf Glauben waren diese die vier obersten Torhüter. Und die Leviten waren über die Kammern und Schätze im Hause Gottes.

27 A nd they lodged round about the house of God, because the charge was upon them, and the opening thereof every morning pertained to them.

Auch blieben sie über Nacht um das Haus Gottes; denn es gebührte ihnen die Hut, daß sie alle Morgen auftäten.

28 A nd certain of them had the charge of the vessels of ministry, that they should account for them when they were brought in and out.

Und etliche aus ihnen waren über das Gerät des Amts; denn sie trugen's gezählt aus und ein.

29 S ome of them also were appointed to oversee the vessels and all the instruments of the sanctuary and the fine flour and the wine and the oil and the frankincense and the spices.

und ihrer etliche waren bestellt über die Gefäße und über alles heilige Gerät, über Semmelmehl, über Wein, über Öl, über Weihrauch, über Spezereien.

30 A nd some of the sons of the priests made the ointment of the spices.

Und der Priester Kinder machten etliche das Salböl mit Spezereien.

31 A nd Mattithiah, one of the Levites, who was the firstborn of Shallum, the Korahite, had the set office over the things that were made in the pans.

Und Matthithja, aus den Leviten, dem ersten Sohn Sallums, des Korahiters, waren vertraut die Pfannen.

32 A nd other of their brethren, of the sons of the Kohathites, were over the showbread, to order it every sabbath.

Aus den Kahathitern aber, ihren Brüdern, waren etliche über die Schaubrote, sie zuzurichten auf alle Sabbate.

33 A nd of these there were singers, princes of the fathers of the Levites, who remained in the chambers free from other work; for they were employed in that work day and night.

Jene aber sind die Sänger, die Häupter der Vaterhäuser der Leviten, die in den Kammern keinen Dienst hatten; denn Tag und Nacht waren sie in ihrem Geschäft.

34 T hese heads of the fathers of the Levites were heads throughout their generations; these dwelt at Jerusalem.

Das sind die Häupter der Vaterhäuser unter den Leviten in ihren Geschlechtern. Diese wohnten zu Jerusalem.

35 ¶ And in Gibeon dwelt the father of Gibeon, Jehiel, whose wife’s name was Maachah;

Zu Gibeon wohnten Jeiel, der Vater Gibeons; sein Weib hieß Maacha

36 a nd his firstborn son Abdon, then Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadab,

und sein erster Sohn Abdon, Zur, Kis, Baal, Ner, Nadab,

37 G edor, Ahio, Zechariah, and Mikloth.

Gedor, Ahjo, Sacharja, Mikloth;

38 A nd Mikloth begat Shimeam. And they also dwelt with their brethren at Jerusalem, next to their brethren.

Mikloth aber zeugte Simeam. Und sie wohnten auch ihren Brüdern gegenüber zu Jerusalem unter den Ihren.

39 A nd Ner begat Kish, and Kish begat Saul, and Saul begat Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Eshbaal.

Ner aber zeugte Kis. Kis zeugte Saul. Saul zeugte Jonathan, Malchisua, Abinadab, Esbaal.

40 A nd the son of Jonathan was Meribbaal, and Meribbaal begat Micah.

Der Sohn aber Jonathans war Merib-Baal. Merib-Baal aber zeugte Micha.

41 A nd the sons of Micah: Pithon, Melech, Tahrea, and Ahaz.

Die Kinder Michas waren: Pithon, Melech und Tharea.

42 A nd Ahaz begat Jarah, and Jarah begat Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza,

Ahas zeugte Jaera. Jaera zeugte Alemeth, Asmaveth und Simmri. Simmri zeugte Moza.

43 a nd Moza begat Binea; and Rephaiah his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son.

Moza zeugte Binea; des Sohn war Raphaja; des Sohn war Eleasa; des Sohn war Azel.

44 A nd Azel had six sons, whose names are these: Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan: these were the sons of Azel.

Azel aber hatte sechs Söhne; die hießen: Asrikam, Bochru, Ismael, Searja, Obadja, Hanan. Das sind die Kinder Azels.
