1 ¶ His foundation is in mountains of holiness.

2 T he LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

Der HERR liebt die Tore Zions über alle Wohnungen Jakobs.

3 G lorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.

Herrliche Dinge werden in dir gepredigt, du Stadt Gottes. (Sela.)

4 ¶ I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to those that know me; behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this one was born there.

Ich will predigen lassen Rahab und Babel, daß sie mich kennen sollen. Siehe, die Philister und Tyrer samt den Mohren werden daselbst geboren.

5 A nd of Zion it shall be said, This and that man were born in her; and the highest himself shall establish her.

Man wird zu Zion sagen, daß allerlei Leute darin geboren werden und daß er, der Höchste, sie baue.

6 T he LORD shall count when he writes up the peoples that this one was born there. Selah.

Der HERR wird zählen, wenn er aufschreibt die Völker: "Diese sind daselbst geboren." (Sela.)

7 A nd singers and players on instruments in her shall say: all my springs are in thee.

Und die Sänger wie die im Reigen werden alle in dir singen, eins ums andere.
