1 U nd der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:

Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

2 G ebiete den Kindern Israel und sprich zu ihnen: Wenn ihr ins Land Kanaan kommt, so soll dies das Land sein, das euch zum Erbteil fällt, das Land Kanaan nach seinen Grenzen.

“Command the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When you enter the land of Canaan, this is the land that shall fall to you as an inheritance, even the land of Canaan according to its borders.

3 D ie Ecke gegen Mittag soll anfangen an der Wüste Zin bei Edom, daß eure Grenze gegen Mittag sei vom Ende des Salzmeeres, das gegen Morgen liegt,

Your southern sector shall extend from the wilderness of Zin along the side of Edom, and your southern border shall extend from the end of the Salt Sea eastward.

4 u nd das die Grenze sich lenke mittagwärts von der Steige Akrabbim und gehe durch Zin, und ihr Ausgang sei mittagwärts von Kades-Barnea und gelange zum Dorf Adar und gehe durch Azmon

Then your border shall turn direction from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim and continue to Zin, and its termination shall be to the south of Kadesh-barnea; and it shall reach Hazaraddar and continue to Azmon.

5 u nd lenke sich von Azmon an den Bach Ägyptens, und ihr Ende sei an dem Meer.

The border shall turn direction from Azmon to the brook of Egypt, and its termination shall be at the sea.

6 A ber die Grenze gegen Abend soll diese sein, nämlich das große Meer. Das sei eure Grenze gegen Abend.

‘As for the western border, you shall have the Great Sea, that is, its coastline; this shall be your west border.

7 D ie Grenze gegen Mitternacht soll diese sein: ihr sollt messen von dem großen Meer bis an den Berg Hor,

‘ And this shall be your north border: you shall draw your border line from the Great Sea to Mount Hor.

8 u nd von dem Berg Hor messen, bis man kommt gen Hamath, das der Ausgang der Grenze sei gen Zedad

You shall draw a line from Mount Hor to the Lebo-hamath, and the termination of the border shall be at Zedad;

9 u nd die Grenze ausgehe gen Siphron und ihr Ende sei am Dorf Enan. Das sei eure Grenze gegen Mitternacht.

and the border shall proceed to Ziphron, and its termination shall be at Hazar-enan. This shall be your north border.

10 U nd sollt messen die Grenze gegen Morgen vom Dorf Enan gen Sepham,

‘For your eastern border you shall also draw a line from Hazar-enan to Shepham,

11 u nd die Grenze gehe herab von Sepham gen Ribla morgenwärts von Ain; darnach gehe sie herab und lenke sich an die Seite des Meers Kinneret gegen Morgen

and the border shall go down from Shepham to Riblah on the east side of Ain; and the border shall go down and reach to the slope on the east side of the Sea of Chinnereth.

12 u nd komme herab an den Jordan, daß ihr Ende sei das Salzmeer. Das sei euer Land mit seiner Grenze umher.

And the border shall go down to the Jordan and its termination shall be at the Salt Sea. This shall be your land according to its borders all around.’”

13 U nd Mose gebot den Kindern Israel und sprach: Das ist das Land, das ihr durchs Los unter euch teilen sollt, das der HERR geboten hat den neun Stämmen und dem halben Stamm zu geben.

So Moses commanded the sons of Israel, saying, “ This is the land that you are to apportion by lot among you as a possession, which the Lord has commanded to give to the nine and a half tribes.

14 D enn der Stamm der Kinder Ruben nach ihren Vaterhäusern und der halbe Stamm Manasse haben ihr Teil genommen.

For the tribe of the sons of Reuben have received theirs according to their fathers’ households, and the tribe of the sons of Gad according to their fathers’ households, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received their possession.

15 A lso haben zwei Stämme und der halbe Stamm ihr Erbteil dahin, diesseit des Jordans gegenüber Jericho gegen Morgen.

The two and a half tribes have received their possession across the Jordan opposite Jericho, eastward toward the sunrising.”

16 U nd der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:

Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

17 D as sind die Namen der Männer, die das Land unter euch teilen sollen: der Priester Eleasar und Josua, der Sohn Nuns.

“ These are the names of the men who shall apportion the land to you for inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun.

18 D azu sollt ihr nehmen von einem jeglichen Stamm einen Fürsten, das Land auszuteilen.

You shall take one leader of every tribe to apportion the land for inheritance.

19 U nd das sind der Männer Namen: Kaleb, der Sohn Jephunnes, des Stammes Juda;

These are the names of the men: of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

20 S amuel, der Sohn Ammihuds, des Stammes Simeon;

Of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Samuel the son of Ammihud.

21 E lidad, der Sohn Chislons, des Stammes Benjamin;

Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon.

22 B ukki, der Sohn Joglis, Fürst des Stammes der Kinder Dan;

Of the tribe of the sons of Dan a leader, Bukki the son of Jogli.

23 H anniel, der Sohn Ephods, Fürst des Stammes der Kinder Manasse, von den Kindern Joseph;

Of the sons of Joseph: of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh a leader, Hanniel the son of Ephod.

24 K emuel, der Sohn Siphtans, Fürst des Stammes der Kinder Ephraim;

Of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim a leader, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.

25 E lizaphan, der Sohn Parnachs, Fürst des Stammes der Kinder Sebulon;

Of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun a leader, Elizaphan the son of Parnach.

26 P altiel, der Sohn Assans, der Fürst des Stammes der Kinder Isaschar;

Of the tribe of the sons of Issachar a leader, Paltiel the son of Azzan.

27 A hihud, der Sohn Selomis, Fürst des Stammes der Kinder Asser;

Of the tribe of the sons of Asher a leader, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.

28 P edahel, der Sohn Ammihuds, Fürst des Stammes der Kinder Naphthali.

Of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali a leader, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.”

29 D ies sind die, denen der HERR gebot, daß sie den Kindern Israel Erbe austeilten im Lande Kanaan.

These are those whom the Lord commanded to apportion the inheritance to the sons of Israel in the land of Canaan.
