From the rising of the sun to its setting The name of the Lord is to be praised.

4 D er HERR ist hoch über alle Heiden; seine Ehre geht, soweit der Himmel ist.

The Lord is high above all nations; His glory is above the heavens.

5 W er ist wie der HERR, unser Gott? der sich so hoch gesetzt hat

Who is like the Lord our God, Who is enthroned on high,

6 u nd auf das Niedrige sieht im Himmel und auf Erden;

Who humbles Himself to behold The things that are in heaven and in the earth?

7 d er den Geringen aufrichtet aus dem Staube und erhöht den Armen aus dem Kot,

He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the needy from the ash heap,

8 d aß er ihn setze neben die Fürsten, neben die Fürsten seines Volkes;

To make them sit with princes, With the princes of His people.

9 d er die Unfruchtbare im Hause wohnen macht, daß sie eine fröhliche Kindermutter wird. Halleluja!
