This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 H abrá hombres amadores de sí mismos, avaros, vanidosos, soberbios, blasfemos, desobedientes a los padres, ingratos, impíos,

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 s in afecto natural, implacables, calumniadores, sin templanza, crueles, enemigos de lo bueno,

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 t raidores, impetuosos, engreídos, amadores de los deleites más que de Dios,

Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 q ue tendrán apariencia de piedad, pero negarán la eficacia de ella. A esos, evítalos.

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

6 D e ellos son los que se meten en las casas y llevan cautivas a las mujercillas cargadas de pecados, arrastradas por diversas pasiones.

For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

7 É stas siempre están aprendiendo, pero nunca pueden llegar al conocimiento de la verdad.

Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

8 Y de la manera que Janes y Jambres resistieron a Moisés, así también estos resisten a la verdad; hombres corruptos de entendimiento, réprobos en cuanto a la fe.

Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

9 P ero no irán más adelante, porque su insensatez será manifiesta a todos, como también lo fue la de aquellos.

But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was.

10 P ero tú has seguido mi doctrina, conducta, propósito, fe, entereza, amor, paciencia,

But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,

11 p ersecuciones, padecimientos, como los que me sobrevinieron en Antioquía, en Iconio, en Listra; persecuciones que he sufrido, pero de todas me ha librado el Señor.

Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.

12 Y también todos los que quieren vivir piadosamente en Cristo Jesús padecerán persecución;

Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

13 p ero los malos hombres y los engañadores irán de mal en peor, engañando y siendo engañados.

But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

14 P ero persiste tú en lo que has aprendido y te persuadiste, sabiendo de quién has aprendido

But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

15 y que desde la niñez has sabido las Sagradas Escrituras, las cuales te pueden hacer sabio para la salvación por la fe que es en Cristo Jesús.

And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 T oda la Escritura es inspirada por Dios y útil para enseñar, para redargüir, para corregir, para instruir en justicia,

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 a fin de que el hombre de Dios sea perfecto, enteramente preparado para toda buena obra.

That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
