1 C omenzó Salomón a edificar la casa de Jehová en Jerusalén, en el monte Moriah, que había sido mostrado a David su padre, en el lugar que David había preparado en la era de Ornán, el jebuseo.

Then Solomon began to build the house of the Lord at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the Lord appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.

2 Y comenzó a edificar en el mes segundo, a los dos días del mes, en el cuarto año de su reinado.

And he began to build in the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.

3 É stas son las medidas que dio Salomón a los cimientos de la casa de Dios: la longitud era de sesenta codos y la anchura de veinte codos.

Now these are the things wherein Solomon was instructed for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure was threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.

4 E l pórtico que estaba al frente del edificio era de veinte codos de largo, igual al ancho de la Casa, y su altura de ciento veinte codos. Salomón lo recubrió por dentro de oro puro,

And the porch that was in the front of the house, the length of it was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height was an hundred and twenty: and he overlaid it within with pure gold.

5 y techó el cuerpo mayor del edificio con madera de ciprés, la cual recubrió de oro fino, haciendo esculpir en ella palmeras y cadenas.

And the greater house he cieled with fir tree, which he overlaid with fine gold, and set thereon palm trees and chains.

6 R ecubrió también la Casa con un ornamento de piedras preciosas; y el oro era oro de Parvaim.

And he garnished the house with precious stones for beauty: and the gold was gold of Parvaim.

7 R evistió, pues, la Casa, sus vigas, sus umbrales, sus paredes y sus puertas, con oro; y esculpió querubines en las paredes.

He overlaid also the house, the beams, the posts, and the walls thereof, and the doors thereof, with gold; and graved cherubims on the walls.

8 C onstruyó asimismo el Lugar santísimo, cuya longitud era de veinte codos, de acuerdo al ancho del frente de la Casa, y su anchura de veinte codos. Lo revistió de oro fino, el cual ascendía a seiscientos talentos.

And he made the most holy house, the length whereof was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits: and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.

9 L os clavos de oro pesaban de uno hasta cincuenta siclos. También recubrió de oro los aposentos.

And the weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. And he overlaid the upper chambers with gold.

10 D entro del Lugar santísimo hizo dos querubines de madera, los cuales fueron recubiertos de oro.

And in the most holy house he made two cherubims of image work, and overlaid them with gold.

11 L a longitud de las alas de los querubines era de veinte codos; porque un ala era de cinco codos, y llegaba hasta la pared de la Casa, mientras la otra de cinco codos tocaba el ala del segundo querubín.

And the wings of the cherubims were twenty cubits long: one wing of the one cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was likewise five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.

12 D e la misma manera una ala del otro querubín era de cinco codos, la cual llegaba hasta la pared de la Casa, y la otra era de cinco codos, que tocaba el ala del otro querubín.

And one wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was five cubits also, joining to the wing of the other cherub.

13 E stos querubines, cuyas alas extendidas medían veinte codos, estaban en pie con los rostros vueltos hacia la Casa.

The wings of these cherubims spread themselves forth twenty cubits: and they stood on their feet, and their faces were inward.

14 H izo también el velo de azul, púrpura, carmesí y lino, e hizo bordar querubines en él. Las dos columnas

And he made the vail of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought cherubims thereon.

15 D elante de la Casa hizo dos columnas de treinta y cinco codos de altura cada una, con capiteles de cinco codos encima.

Also he made before the house two pillars of thirty and five cubits high, and the chapiter that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.

16 H izo asimismo cadenas en el santuario y las puso sobre los capiteles de las columnas; e hizo cien granadas, las cuales puso en las cadenas.

And he made chains, as in the oracle, and put them on the heads of the pillars; and made an hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains.

17 C olocó las columnas delante del Templo, una a la mano derecha y otra a la izquierda; a la de la mano derecha llamó Jaquín y a la de la izquierda, Boaz.

And he reared up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz.
