1 E stas cosas habló Jesús, y levantando los ojos al cielo, dijo: —Padre, la hora ha llegado: glorifica a tu Hijo, para que también tu Hijo te glorifique a ti,

These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:

2 p ues le has dado potestad sobre toda carne para que dé vida eterna a todos los que le diste.

As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

3 Y ésta es la vida eterna: que te conozcan a ti, el único Dios verdadero, y a Jesucristo, a quien has enviado.

And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

4 » Yo te he glorificado en la tierra; he acabado la obra que me diste que hiciera.

I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

5 A hora pues, Padre, glorifícame tú al lado tuyo, con aquella gloria que tuve contigo antes que el mundo existiera.

And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

6 » He manifestado tu nombre a los hombres que del mundo me diste; tuyos eran, y me los diste, y han guardado tu palabra.

I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.

7 A hora han conocido que todas las cosas que me has dado proceden de ti,

Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.

8 p orque las palabras que me diste les he dado; y ellos las recibieron y han conocido verdaderamente que salí de ti, y han creído que tú me enviaste.

For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

9 » Yo ruego por ellos; no ruego por el mundo, sino por los que me diste, porque tuyos son,

I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

10 y todo lo mío es tuyo y lo tuyo mío; y he sido glorificado en ellos.

And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.

11 » Ya no estoy en el mundo; pero estos están en el mundo, y yo voy a ti. Padre santo, a los que me has dado, guárdalos en tu nombre, para que sean uno, así como nosotros.

And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

12 C uando estaba con ellos en el mundo, yo los guardaba en tu nombre; a los que me diste, yo los guardé y ninguno de ellos se perdió, sino el hijo de perdición, para que la Escritura se cumpliera.

While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

13 » Pero ahora vuelvo a ti, y hablo esto en el mundo para que tengan mi gozo completo en sí mismos.

And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

14 Y o les he dado tu palabra, y el mundo los odió porque no son del mundo, como tampoco yo soy del mundo.

I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

15 N o ruego que los quites del mundo, sino que los guardes del mal.

I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

16 N o son del mundo, como tampoco yo soy del mundo.

They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

17 S antifícalos en tu verdad: tu palabra es verdad.

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

18 C omo tú me enviaste al mundo, así yo los he enviado al mundo.

As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

19 P or ellos yo me santifico a mí mismo, para que también ellos sean santificados en la verdad.

And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

20 » Pero no ruego solamente por estos, sino también por los que han de creer en mí por la palabra de ellos,

Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

21 p ara que todos sean uno; como tú, Padre, en mí y yo en ti, que también ellos sean uno en nosotros, para que el mundo crea que tú me enviaste.

That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

22 Y o les he dado la gloria que me diste, para que sean uno, así como nosotros somos uno.

And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

23 Y o en ellos y tú en mí, para que sean perfectos en unidad, para que el mundo conozca que tú me enviaste, y que los has amado a ellos como también a mí me has amado.

I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

24 » Padre, aquellos que me has dado, quiero que donde yo esté, también ellos estén conmigo, para que vean mi gloria que me has dado, pues me has amado desde antes de la fundación del mundo.

Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

25 P adre justo, el mundo no te ha conocido, pero yo te he conocido, y estos han conocido que tú me enviaste.

O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.

26 L es he dado a conocer tu nombre y lo daré a conocer aún, para que el amor con que me has amado esté en ellos y yo en ellos.

And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
