1 C lamo a ti, Senhor; vem depressa! Escuta a minha voz quando clamo a ti.

Yahweh, I have called on you. Come to me quickly! Listen to my voice when I call to you.

2 S eja a minha oração como incenso diante de ti, e o levantar das minhas mãos, como a oferta da tarde.

Let my prayer be set before you like incense; the lifting up of my hands like the evening sacrifice.

3 C oloca, Senhor, uma guarda à minha boca; vigia a porta de meus lábios.

Set a watch, Yahweh, before my mouth. Keep the door of my lips.

4 N ão permitas que o meu coração se volte para o mal, nem que eu me envolva em práticas perversas com os malfeitores. Que eu nunca participe dos seus banquetes!

Don’t incline my heart to any evil thing, to practice deeds of wickedness with men who work iniquity. Don’t let me eat of their delicacies.

5 F ira-me o justo com amor leal e me repreenda, mas não perfume a minha cabeça o óleo do ímpio, pois a minha oração é contra as práticas dos malfeitores.

Let the righteous strike me, it is kindness; let him reprove me, it is like oil on the head; don’t let my head refuse it; Yet my prayer is always against evil deeds.

6 Q uando eles caírem nas mãos da Rocha, o juiz deles, ouvirão as minhas palavras com apreço.

Their judges are thrown down by the sides of the rock. They will hear my words, for they are well spoken.

7 C omo a terra é arada e fendida, assim foram espalhados os seus ossos à entrada da sepultura.

“As when one plows and breaks up the earth, our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol.”

8 M as os meus olhos estão fixos em ti, ó Soberano Senhor; em ti me refugio; não me entregues à morte.

For my eyes are on you, Yahweh, the Lord. In you, I take refuge. Don’t leave my soul destitute.

9 G uarda-me das armadilhas que prepararam contra mim, das ciladas dos que praticam o mal.

Keep me from the snare which they have laid for me, from the traps of the workers of iniquity.

10 C aiam os ímpios em sua própria rede, enquanto eu escapo ileso.

Let the wicked fall together into their own nets, while I pass by.
