¡nos habrían arrastrado como una inundación!, ¡nos habrían sepultado como un torrente!,

5 T hen the swollen waters Would have gone over our soul.”

¡nos habrían ahogado como aguas impetuosas!

6 B lessed be the Lord, Who has not given us as prey to their teeth.

¡Bendito sea el Señor, que no nos dejó caer en sus fauces!

7 O ur soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers; The snare is broken, and we have escaped.

¡Escapamos como escapa el ave de la red! ¡La red se abrió, y nosotros escapamos!

8 O ur help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.
