1 C uando salía del templo, le dice uno de sus discípulos: Maestro, mira qué piedras tan enormes y qué construcciones tan magníficas.

Then as He went out of the temple, one of His disciples said to Him, “Teacher, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here! ”

2 J esús le dijo: ¿Ves estas grandiosas construcciones? No quedará ni una piedra sobre otra que no sea totalmente derruida. Señales antes del fin

And Jesus answered and said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone shall be left upon another, that shall not be thrown down.” The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age

3 Y estando él sentado en el monte de los Olivos frente por frente del templo, le preguntaban en privado Pedro, Jacobo, Juan y Andrés:

Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked Him privately,

4 D inos, ¿cuándo serán estas cosas, y cuál será la señal cuando todas estas cosas estén para cumplirse?

“Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign when all these things will be fulfilled?”

5 Y Jesús comenzó a decirles: Mirad que nadie os engañe.

And Jesus, answering them, began to say: “Take heed that no one deceives you.

6 V endrán muchos usurpando mi nombre, diciendo: Yo soy el Cristo. Y engañarán a muchos.

For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He, ’ and will deceive many.

7 C uando oigáis de guerras y de rumores de guerras, no os alarméis; tiene que ocurrir, pero todavía no es el fin.

But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet.

8 P orque se levantará nación contra nación, y reino contra reino. Habrá terremotos en diversos lugares, habrá hambres. Estas cosas son principio de los dolores de alumbramiento.

For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows.

9 P ero vosotros estad alerta sobre vosotros mismos; os entregarán a los tribunales y seréis azotados en las sinagogas y os harán comparecer ante gobernadores y reyes por causa de mí, para testimonio a ellos.

“But watch out for yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be beaten in the synagogues. You will be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them.

10 P ero primero debe ser proclamado el evangelio a todas las naciones.

And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations.

11 Y cuando os conduzcan para entregaros, no os preocupéis de antemano por lo que vais a hablar, sino hablad lo que se os comunique en aquel momento; porque no sois vosotros los que estáis hablando, sino el Espíritu Santo.

But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.

12 Y entregará a la muerte hermano a hermano, y padre a hijo; se levantarán hijos contra padres, y los matarán.

Now brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.

13 S eréis aborrecidos de todos por causa de mi nombre; pero el que persevere hasta el final, ése será salvo.

And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. The Great Tribulation

14 P ero cuando veáis la abominación de la desolación de que habló el profeta Daniel erigida donde no debe (el que esté leyendo, que lo entienda), entonces los que estén en Judea, huyan a los montes;

“So when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not” (let the reader understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

15 e l que esté en la azotea, no baje ni entre a llevarse algo de su casa;

Let him who is on the housetop not go down into the house, nor enter to take anything out of his house.

16 y el que haya marchado al campo, no se vuelva atrás para tomar su manto.

And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.

17 ¡ Ay de las que estén encintas y de las que estén amamantando en aquellos días!

But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!

18 O rad para que no suceda en invierno.

And pray that your flight may not be in winter.

19 P orque aquellos días serán una tribulación, tal como no la hubo desde el principio de la creación que Dios hizo hasta ahora, ni la habrá jamás.

For in those days there will be tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the creation which God created until this time, nor ever shall be.

20 Y si el Señor no hubiese acortado aquellos días, no se salvaría ninguna vida, pero en atención a los escogidos que él eligió, acortó los días.

And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake, whom He chose, He shortened the days.

21 E ntonces, si alguien os dice: Mira, aquí está el Cristo; o: Mira, allí está, no lo creáis.

“Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘Look, He is there!’ do not believe it.

22 P orque surgirán falsos cristos y falsos profetas y harán señales y prodigios a fin de extraviar, de ser posible, a los elegidos.

For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

23 V osotros, pues, estad sobre aviso; os lo he dicho todo por anticipado. La venida del Hijo del Hombre

But take heed; see, I have told you all things beforehand. The Coming of the Son of Man

24 P ero en esos días, después de aquella tribulación, el sol se oscurecerá y la luna no dará su resplandor;

“But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light;

25 l as estrellas estarán cayendo del cielo, y los poderes que hay en los cielos serán sacudidos.

the stars of heaven will fall, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.

26 Y entonces verán al Hijo del Hombre que viene en las nubes con gran poder y gloria.

Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

27 E ntonces enviará a los ángeles, y reunirá de los cuatro vientos a sus elegidos, desde el extremo de la tierra hasta el extremo del cielo.

And then He will send His angels, and gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part of heaven. The Parable of the Fig Tree

28 D e la higuera aprended la parábola: Cuando ya su rama se vuelve tierna y brotan las hojas, conocéis que el verano está cerca.

“Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.

29 A sí también vosotros, cuando veáis que suceden estas cosas, conoced que está cerca, a las puertas.

So you also, when you see these things happening, know that it is near—at the doors!

30 E n verdad os digo que de ningún modo pasará esta generación hasta que todas estas cosas sucedan.

Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.

31 E l cielo y la tierra pasarán, pero mis palabras no pasarán.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. No One Knows the Day or Hour

32 P ero de aquel día o de aquella hora, nadie sabe, ni los ángeles en el cielo, ni el Hijo, sino sólo el Padre.

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

33 E stad atentos, velad y orad; porque no sabéis cuándo es el tiempo señalado.

Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is.

34 E s como un hombre que se fue de viaje y, al dejar su casa, dio atribuciones a sus siervos, a cada uno su tarea, y encargó al portero que velara.

It is like a man going to a far country, who left his house and gave authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch.

35 P or tanto, velad; porque no sabéis cuándo viene el dueño de la casa, si al atardecer, a la medianoche, al canto del gallo, o de madrugada;

Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning—

36 n o sea que venga de repente y os encuentre durmiendo.

lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping.

37 L o que os digo a vosotros, lo digo a todos: Velad.

And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!”
