1 C uando salía del templo, uno de sus discípulos le dijo: Maestro, ¡mira qué piedras y qué edificios!

Then as He went out of the temple, one of His disciples said to Him, “Teacher, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here! ”

2 Y Jesús le dijo: ¿Ves estos grandes edificios? No quedará piedra sobre piedra que no sea derribada. Señales antes del fin

And Jesus answered and said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone shall be left upon another, that shall not be thrown down.” The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age

3 Y estando El sentado en el monte de los Olivos, frente al templo, Pedro, Jacobo, Juan y Andrés le preguntaban en privado:

Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked Him privately,

4 D inos, ¿cuándo sucederá esto, y qué señal habrá cuando todas estas cosas se hayan de cumplir?

“Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign when all these things will be fulfilled?”

5 Y Jesús comenzó a decirles: Mirad que nadie os engañe.

And Jesus, answering them, began to say: “Take heed that no one deceives you.

6 M uchos vendrán en mi nombre diciendo: “Yo soy el Cristo ”, y engañarán a muchos.

For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He, ’ and will deceive many.

7 Y cuando oigáis de guerras y de rumores de guerras, no os alarméis; es necesario que todo esto suceda, pero todavía no es el fin.

But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet.

8 P orque se levantará nación contra nación, y reino contra reino; y habrá terremotos en diversos lugares; y habrá hambres. Esto sólo es el comienzo de dolores.

For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows.

9 P ero estad alerta; porque os entregarán a los tribunales y seréis azotados en las sinagogas, y compareceréis delante de gobernadores y reyes por mi causa, para testimonio a ellos.

“But watch out for yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be beaten in the synagogues. You will be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them.

10 P ero primero el evangelio debe ser predicado a todas las naciones.

And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations.

11 Y cuando os lleven y os entreguen, no os preocupéis de antemano por lo que vais a decir, sino que lo que os sea dado en aquella hora, eso hablad; porque no sois vosotros los que habláis, sino el Espíritu Santo.

But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.

12 Y el hermano entregará a la muerte al hermano, y el padre al hijo; y los hijos se levantarán contra los padres, y les causarán la muerte.

Now brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.

13 Y seréis odiados de todos por causa de mi nombre, pero el que persevere hasta el fin, ése será salvo. La abominación de la desolación

And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. The Great Tribulation

14 M as cuando veáis la abominacion de la desolacion puesta donde no debe estar (el que lea, que entienda), entonces los que estén en Judea huyan a los montes;

“So when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not” (let the reader understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

15 y el que esté en la azotea, no baje ni entre a sacar nada de su casa;

Let him who is on the housetop not go down into the house, nor enter to take anything out of his house.

16 y el que esté en el campo, no vuelva atrás a tomar su capa.

And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.

17 P ero, ¡ay de las que estén encinta y de las que estén criando en aquellos días!

But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!

18 O rad para que esto no suceda en el invierno.

And pray that your flight may not be in winter.

19 P orque aquellos días serán de tribulación, tal como no ha acontecido desde el principio de la creación que hizo Dios hasta ahora, ni acontecerá jamás.

For in those days there will be tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the creation which God created until this time, nor ever shall be.

20 Y si el Señor no hubiera acortado aquellos días, nadie se salvaría; pero por causa de los escogidos que El eligió, acortó los días.

And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake, whom He chose, He shortened the days.

21 E ntonces, si alguno os dice: “Mirad, aquí está el Cristo ”, o: “Mirad, allí está ”, no le creáis.

“Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘Look, He is there!’ do not believe it.

22 P orque se levantarán falsos Cristos y falsos profetas, y mostrarán señales y prodigios a fin de extraviar, de ser posible, a los escogidos.

For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

23 M as vosotros, estad alerta; ved que os lo he dicho todo de antemano. La venida del Hijo del Hombre

But take heed; see, I have told you all things beforehand. The Coming of the Son of Man

24 P ero en aquellos días, después de esa tribulación, el sol se oscurecera y la luna no dara su luz,

“But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light;

25 l as estrellas iran cayendo del cielo y las potencias que están en los cielos serán sacudidas.

the stars of heaven will fall, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.

26 E ntonces verán al Hijo del Hombre que viene en las nubes con gran poder y gloria.

Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

27 Y entonces enviará a los ángeles, y reunirá a sus escogidos de los cuatro vientos, desde el extremo de la tierra hasta el extremo del cielo. Parábola de la higuera

And then He will send His angels, and gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part of heaven. The Parable of the Fig Tree

28 D e la higuera aprended la parábola: cuando su rama ya se pone tierna y echa las hojas, sabéis que el verano está cerca.

“Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.

29 A sí también vosotros, cuando veáis que suceden estas cosas, sabed que El está cerca, a las puertas.

So you also, when you see these things happening, know that it is near—at the doors!

30 E n verdad os digo que no pasará esta generación hasta que todo esto suceda.

Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.

31 E l cielo y la tierra pasarán, mas mis palabras no pasarán.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. No One Knows the Day or Hour

32 P ero de aquel día o de aquella hora nadie sabe, ni siquiera los ángeles en el cielo, ni el Hijo, sino sólo el Padre. Exhortación a velar

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

33 E stad alerta, velad; porque no sabéis cuándo es el tiempo señalado.

Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is.

34 E s como un hombre que se fue de viaje, y al salir de su casa dejó a sus siervos encargados, asignándole a cada uno su tarea, y ordenó al portero que estuviera alerta.

It is like a man going to a far country, who left his house and gave authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch.

35 P or tanto, velad, porque no sabéis cuándo viene el señor de la casa, si al atardecer, o a la medianoche, o al canto del gallo, o al amanecer;

Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning—

36 n o sea que venga de repente y os halle dormidos.

lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping.

37 Y lo que a vosotros digo, a todos lo digo: ¡Velad!

And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!”
