1 D e nuevo alcé mis ojos y miré, y he aquí cuatro carros que salían de entre dos montes; y aquellos montes eran de bronce.

Then I turned and raised my eyes and looked, and behold, four chariots were coming from between two mountains, and the mountains were mountains of bronze.

2 E n el primer carro había caballos alazanes, en el segundo carro, caballos negros,

With the first chariot were red horses, with the second chariot black horses,

3 e n el tercer carro, caballos blancos, y en el cuarto carro, caballos tordos vigorosos.

with the third chariot white horses, and with the fourth chariot dappled horses—strong steeds.

4 T omé entonces la palabra y dije al ángel que hablaba conmigo: Señor mío, ¿qué es esto?

Then I answered and said to the angel who talked with me, “What are these, my lord?”

5 Y el ángel me respondió y me dijo: Éstos son los cuatro vientos de los cielos, que salen de presentarse delante del Señor de toda la tierra.

And the angel answered and said to me, “These are four spirits of heaven, who go out from their station before the Lord of all the earth.

6 E l carro con los caballos negros salía hacia la tierra del norte, y los blancos salieron tras ellos, y los tordos salieron hacia la tierra del sur.

The one with the black horses is going to the north country, the white are going after them, and the dappled are going toward the south country.”

7 Y los alazanes salieron y se afanaron por ir a recorrer la tierra. Y dijo: Id, recorred la tierra. Y recorrieron la tierra.

Then the strong steeds went out, eager to go, that they might walk to and fro throughout the earth. And He said, “Go, walk to and fro throughout the earth.” So they walked to and fro throughout the earth.

9 V ino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying:

10 T oma ofrendas de los del cautiverio a Helday, a Tobías y a Jedaías; e irás tú en aquel día, y entrarás en casa de Josías hijo de Sofonías, a la que han llegado desde Babilonia.

“Receive the gift from the captives—from Heldai, Tobijah, and Jedaiah, who have come from Babylon—and go the same day and enter the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah.

11 T omarás, pues, plata y oro, y harás coronas, y pondrás una en la cabeza del sumo sacerdote Josué, hijo de Josadac.

Take the silver and gold, make an elaborate crown, and set it on the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest.

12 Y le hablarás, diciendo: Así dice Jehová de los ejércitos: He aquí el varón cuyo nombre es el Retoño, el cual retoñará de su lugar, y edificará el templo de Jehová.

Then speak to him, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, saying: “Behold, the Man whose name is the BRANCH! From His place He shall branch out, And He shall build the temple of the Lord;

13 É l edificará el templo de Jehová, y él llevará las insignias reales, y se sentará y dominará en su trono, y habrá un sacerdote junto a su solio; y consejo de paz habrá entre ambos.

Yes, He shall build the temple of the Lord. He shall bear the glory, And shall sit and rule on His throne; So He shall be a priest on His throne, And the counsel of peace shall be between them both.”’

14 L as coronas servirán a Helem, a Tobías, a Jedaías y a Hen hijo de Sofonías, como memorial en el templo de Jehová.

“Now the elaborate crown shall be for a memorial in the temple of the Lord for Helem, Tobijah, Jedaiah, and Hen the son of Zephaniah.

15 Y los que están lejos vendrán y ayudarán a edificar el templo de Jehová, y conoceréis que Jehová de los ejércitos me ha enviado a vosotros. Y esto sucederá si escucháis obedientes la voz de Jehová vuestro Dios.

Even those from afar shall come and build the temple of the Lord. Then you shall know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you. And this shall come to pass if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God.”
