1 T e ensalzaré, oh Jehová, porque me has puesto a salvo, Y no permitiste que mis enemigos se alegraran a costa mía.

I will extol You, O Lord, for You have lifted me up, And have not let my foes rejoice over me.

2 J ehová Dios mío, A ti clamé, y me sanaste.

O Lord my God, I cried out to You, And You healed me.

3 O h Jehová, hiciste subir mi alma del Seol; Me hiciste revivir de entre los que descienden a la sepultura.

O Lord, You brought my soul up from the grave; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

4 C antad a Jehová, vosotros sus santos, Y celebrad la memoria de su santidad.

Sing praise to the Lord, you saints of His, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.

5 P orque de un momento es su ira, Pero su favor dura toda la vida. Por la noche nos visita el llanto, Pero a la mañana viene la alegría.

For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.

6 E n mi prosperidad dije yo: No seré jamás zarandeado,

Now in my prosperity I said, “I shall never be moved.”

7 P orque tú, Jehová, con tu favor me afianzaste como monte fuerte. Pero escondiste tu rostro y quedé desconcertado.

Lord, by Your favor You have made my mountain stand strong; You hid Your face, and I was troubled.

8 A ti, oh Jehová, clamé, Y al Señor supliqué.

I cried out to You, O Lord; And to the Lord I made supplication:

9 ¿ Qué provecho sacas de mi muerte cuando descienda a la sepultura? ¿Te alabará el polvo? ¿Anunciará tu verdad?

“What profit is there in my blood, When I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your truth?

10 E scucha, oh Jehová, y ten misericordia de mí; Jehová, sé tú mi auxilio.

Hear, O Lord, and have mercy on me; Lord, be my helper!”

11 H as cambiado mi lamento en una danza; Desataste mi sayal, y me ceñiste de alegría.

You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,

12 A fin de que mi alma te cante y no esté callada. Jehová Dios mío, te alabaré por siempre.

To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.
