1 P ablo, apóstol de Jesucristo por voluntad de Dios, y el hermano Timoteo,

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,

2 a los santos y fieles hermanos en Cristo que están en Colosas: Gracia y paz sean a vosotros, de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo. Pablo pide que Dios les conceda sabiduría espiritual

To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are in Colosse: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Their Faith in Christ

3 D amos gracias al Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, orando siempre por vosotros,

We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,

4 h abiendo oído de vuestra fe en Cristo Jesús, y del amor que tenéis hacia todos los santos,

since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of your love for all the saints;

5 a causa de la esperanza que os está reservada en los cielos, de la cual ya oísteis antes por la palabra verdadera del evangelio,

because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel,

6 e l cual ha llegado hasta vosotros, así como a todo el mundo, y está llevando fruto y creciendo también en vosotros, desde el día que lo oísteis y comprendisteis la gracia de Dios en verdad,

which has come to you, as it has also in all the world, and is bringing forth fruit, as it is also among you since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth;

7 c omo lo habéis aprendido de Epafras, nuestro consiervo amado, que es un fiel ministro de Cristo en nuestro lugar,

as you also learned from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on your behalf,

8 q uien también nos ha informado de vuestro amor en el Espíritu.

who also declared to us your love in the Spirit. Preeminence of Christ

9 P or lo cual también nosotros, desde el día que lo oímos, no cesamos de orar por vosotros, y de pedir que seáis llenos del cabal conocimiento de su voluntad en toda sabiduría e inteligencia espiritual,

For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

10 p ara que andéis como es digno del Señor, agradándole en todo, llevando fruto en toda buena obra, y creciendo en el pleno conocimiento de Dios;

that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;

11 f ortalecidos con todo poder, conforme a la potencia de su gloria, para toda paciencia y longanimidad;

strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;

12 c on gozo dando gracias al Padre que nos hizo aptos para participar de la herencia de los santos en luz;

giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.

13 e l cual nos ha librado de la potestad de las tinieblas, y trasladado al reino de su amado Hijo,

He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

14 e n quien tenemos redención por medio de su sangre, el perdón de pecados. La supremacía de Cristo

in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

15 E l cual es la imagen del Dios invisible, el primogénito de toda creación.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

16 P orque por él fueron creadas todas las cosas, las que hay en los cielos y las que hay en la tierra, las visibles y las invisibles; sean tronos, sean dominios, sean principados, sean potestades; todo fue creado por medio de él y para él.

For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

17 Y él es antes de todas las cosas, y todas las cosas tienen consistencia en él;

And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

18 y él es la cabeza del cuerpo que es la iglesia, y él es el principio, el primogénito de entre los muertos, para que en todo tenga la preeminencia;

And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. Reconciled in Christ

19 p or cuanto tuvo a bien el Padre que en él habitase toda plenitud,

For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell,

20 y por medio de él reconciliar consigo todas las cosas, así las que están en la tierra como las que están en los cielos, haciendo la paz mediante la sangre de su cruz.

and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

21 Y a vosotros también, que erais en otro tiempo extraños y enemigos en vuestra mente, haciendo malas obras, ahora os ha reconciliado

And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled

22 e n su cuerpo de carne, por medio de la muerte, para presentaros santos y sin mancha e irreprensibles delante de él;

in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight—

23 s i en verdad permanecéis fundados y firmes en la fe, y sin moveros de la esperanza del evangelio que habéis oído, el cual ha sido proclamado en toda la creación que está debajo del cielo; del cual yo, Pablo, fui hecho ministro. Ministerio de Pablo a los gentiles

if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister. Sacrificial Service for Christ

24 A hora me gozo en mis padecimientos por vosotros, y completo en mi carne lo que falta de las aflicciones de Cristo por su cuerpo, que es la iglesia;

I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church,

25 d e la cual fui hecho ministro, según la administración de Dios que me fue dada para con vosotros, para anunciar cumplidamente la palabra de Dios,

of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God,

26 e l misterio que había estado oculto desde los siglos y generaciones pasadas, pero que ahora ha sido manifestado a sus santos,

the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints.

27 a quienes Dios quiso dar a conocer cuáles son las riquezas de la gloria de este misterio entre los gentiles; que es Cristo en vosotros, la esperanza de la gloria,

To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

28 a quien nosotros anunciamos, amonestando a todo hombre, y enseñando a todo hombre en toda sabiduría, a fin de presentar perfecto en Cristo Jesús a todo hombre;

Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

29 p ara lo cual también trabajo, luchando según la potencia de él, la cual actúa poderosamente en mí.

To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.
