Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.

2 A te, che esaudisci la preghiera, verrà ogni creatura.

O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.

3 M i opprime il peso delle mie colpe, ma tu perdonerai i miei peccati.

Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.

4 B eato chi sceglierai e accoglierai, perché egli abiti nei tuoi cortili! Noi ci sazieremo dei beni della tua casa, delle cose sante del tuo tempio.

Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

5 M ediante prodigi tu ci rispondi, nella tua giustizia, o Dio della nostra salvezza, speranza di tutte le estremità della terra e dei mari lontani.

By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:

6 C on il suo vigore egli rese saldi i monti, cingendosi di potenza.

Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power:

7 E gli placa il fragore dei mari, il fragore dei loro flutti e il tumulto dei popoli.

Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.

8 G li abitanti delle estremità della terra tremano davanti ai tuoi prodigi; tu fai sgorgare canti di gioia dall’oriente all’occidente.

They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.

9 T u percorri la terra e la irrighi, la fai produrre abbondantemente. I ruscelli di Dio sono pieni d’acqua; tu procuri agli uomini il grano, quando prepari così la terra;

Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.

10 t u irrighi i suoi solchi, ne pareggi le zolle, l’ammorbidisci con le piogge, ne benedici i germogli.

Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.

11 T u coroni l’annata con i tuoi benefici, e dove passa il tuo carro stilla il grasso.

Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.

12 E sso stilla sui pascoli del deserto, e i colli sono adorni di gioia.

They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.

13 I pascoli si rivestono di greggi e le valli si coprono di frumento; essi prorompono in grida di gioia e cantano.

The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.
