O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth.

2 C antate al Signore, benedite il suo nome, annunciate di giorno in giorno la sua salvezza!

Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.

3 P roclamate la sua gloria fra le nazioni e i suoi prodigi fra tutti i popoli!

Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.

4 P erché il Signore è grande e degno di sovrana lode; egli è tremendo sopra tutti gli dèi.

For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.

5 P oiché tutti gli dèi delle nazioni sono idoli vani; il Signore, invece, ha fatto i cieli.

For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.

6 S plendore e maestà sono davanti a lui, forza e bellezza stanno nel suo santuario.

Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

7 D ate al Signore, o famiglie dei popoli, date al Signore gloria e forza.

Give unto the Lord, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength.

8 D ate al Signore la gloria dovuta al suo nome, portategli offerte e venite nei suoi cortili.

Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.

9 P rostratevi davanti al Signore vestiti di sacri ornamenti, tremate davanti a lui, abitanti di tutta la terra!

O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.

10 D ite fra i popoli: «Il Signore regna; il mondo quindi è saldo e non potrà vacillare; il Signore giudicherà le nazioni con rettitudine».

Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.

11 G ioiscano i cieli ed esulti la terra; risuoni il mare e quanto contiene.

Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.

12 E sultino i campi e quanto è in essi; tutti gli alberi delle foreste emettano grida di gioia

Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice

13 i n presenza del Signore; poiché egli viene, viene a giudicare la terra. Egli giudicherà il mondo con giustizia e i popoli con verità.

Before the Lord: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.
