O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth.

2 C hantez à l'Éternel, bénissez son nom, Annoncez de jour en jour son salut!

Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.

3 R acontez parmi les nations sa gloire, Parmi tous les peuples ses merveilles!

Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.

4 C ar l'Éternel est grand et très digne de louange, Il est redoutable par-dessus tous les dieux;

For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.

5 C ar tous les dieux des peuples sont des idoles, Et l'Éternel a fait les cieux.

For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.

6 L a splendeur et la magnificence sont devant sa face, La gloire et la majesté sont dans son sanctuaire.

Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

7 F amilles des peuples, rendez à l'Éternel, Rendez à l'Éternel gloire et honneur!

Give unto the Lord, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength.

8 R endez à l'Éternel gloire pour son nom! Apportez des offrandes, et entrez dans ses parvis!

Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.

9 P rosternez-vous devant l'Éternel avec des ornements sacrés. Tremblez devant lui, vous tous, habitants de la terre!

O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.

10 D ites parmi les nations: L'Éternel règne; Aussi le monde est ferme, il ne chancelle pas; L'Éternel juge les peuples avec droiture.

Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.

11 Q ue les cieux se réjouissent, et que la terre soit dans l'allégresse, Que la mer retentisse avec tout ce qu'elle contient,

Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.

12 Q ue la campagne s'égaie avec tout ce qu'elle renferme, Que tous les arbres des forêts poussent des cris de joie,

Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice

13 D evant l'Éternel! Car il vient, Car il vient pour juger la terre; Il jugera le monde avec justice, Et les peuples selon sa fidélité.

Before the Lord: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.
