Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

3 Q ue la maison d'Aaron dise: Car sa miséricorde dure à toujours!

Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

4 Q ue ceux qui craignent l'Éternel disent: Car sa miséricorde dure à toujours!

Let them now that fear the Lord say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

5 D u sein de la détresse j'ai invoqué l'Éternel: L'Éternel m'a exaucé, m'a mis au large.

I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.

6 L 'Éternel est pour moi, je ne crains rien: Que peuvent me faire des hommes?

The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

7 L 'Éternel est mon secours, Et je me réjouis à la vue de mes ennemis.

The Lord taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.

8 M ieux vaut chercher un refuge en l'Éternel Que de se confier à l'homme;

It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

9 M ieux vaut chercher un refuge en l'Éternel Que de se confier aux grands.

It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.

10 T outes les nations m'environnaient: Au nom de l'Éternel, je les taille en pièces.

All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord will I destroy them.

11 E lles m'environnaient, m'enveloppaient: Au nom de l'Éternel, je les taille en pièces.

They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.

12 E lles m'environnaient comme des abeilles; Elles s'éteignent comme un feu d'épines; Au nom de l'Éternel, je les taille en pièces.

They compassed me about like bees: they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.

13 T u me poussais pour me faire tomber; Mais l'Éternel m'a secouru.

Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the Lord helped me.

14 L 'Éternel est ma force et le sujet de mes louanges; C'est lui qui m'a sauvé.

The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.

15 D es cris de triomphe et de salut s'élèvent dans les tentes des justes: La droite de l'Éternel manifeste sa puissance!

The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.

16 L a droite de l'Éternel est élevée! La droite de l'Éternel manifeste sa puissance!

The right hand of the Lord is exalted: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.

17 J e ne mourrai pas, je vivrai, Et je raconterai les oeuvres de l'Éternel.

I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

18 L 'Éternel m'a châtié, Mais il ne m'a pas livré à la mort.

The Lord hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.

19 O uvrez-moi les portes de la justice: J'entrerai, je louerai l'Éternel.

Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the Lord:

20 V oici la porte de l'Éternel: C'est par elle qu'entrent les justes.

This gate of the Lord, into which the righteous shall enter.

21 J e te loue, parce que tu m'as exaucé, Parce que tu m'as sauvé.

I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.

22 L a pierre qu'ont rejetée ceux qui bâtissaient Est devenue la principale de l'angle.

The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.

23 C 'est de l'Éternel que cela est venu: C'est un prodige à nos yeux.

This is the Lord 's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.

24 C 'est ici la journée que l'Éternel a faite: Qu'elle soit pour nous un sujet d'allégresse et de joie!

This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

25 O Éternel, accorde le salut! O Éternel, donne la prospérité!

Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord: O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.

26 B éni soit celui qui vient au nom de l'Éternel! Nous vous bénissons de la maison de l'Éternel.

Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord.

27 L 'Éternel est Dieu, et il nous éclaire. Attachez la victime avec des liens, Amenez-la jusqu'aux cornes de l'autel!

God is the Lord, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.

28 T u es mon Dieu, et je te louerai; Mon Dieu! je t'exalterai.

Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.
