1 “ No se turbe su corazón; crean en Dios, crean también en Mí.

“Do not let your heart be troubled. You have put your trust in God, put your trust in Me also.

2 E n la casa de Mi Padre hay muchas moradas; si no fuera así, se lo hubiera dicho; porque voy a preparar un lugar para ustedes.

There are many rooms in My Father’s house. If it were not so, I would have told you. I am going away to make a place for you.

3 Y si me voy y les preparo un lugar, vendré otra vez y los tomaré adonde Yo voy; para que donde Yo esté, allí estén ustedes también.

After I go and make a place for you, I will come back and take you with Me. Then you may be where I am.

4 Y conocen el camino adonde voy.”

You know where I am going and you know how to get there.”

5 “ Señor, si no sabemos adónde vas, ¿cómo vamos a conocer el camino?” Le dijo Tomás.

Thomas said to Jesus, “Lord, we do not know where You are going. How can we know the way to get there?”

6 J esús le dijo: “Yo soy el camino, la verdad y la vida; nadie viene al Padre sino por Mí.

Jesus said, “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one can go to the Father except by Me.

7 S i ustedes Me hubieran conocido, también hubieran conocido a Mi Padre; desde ahora Lo conocen y Lo han visto.”

If you had known Me, you would know My Father also. From now on you know Him and have seen Him.” Jesus and His Father Are One

8 “ Señor, muéstranos al Padre y nos basta,” Le dijo Felipe.

Philip said to Jesus, “Lord, show us the Father. That is all we ask.”

9 J esús le dijo: “¿Tanto tiempo he estado con ustedes, y todavía no Me conoces, Felipe? El que Me ha visto a Mí, ha visto al Padre. ¿Cómo dices tú: ‘Muéstranos al Padre’?

Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you all this time and you do not know Me yet? Whoever has seen Me, has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

10 ¿ No crees que Yo estoy en el Padre y el Padre en Mí ? Las palabras que Yo les digo, no las hablo por Mi propia cuenta, sino que el Padre que mora en Mí es el que hace las obras.

Do you not believe that I am in the Father and that the Father is in Me? What I say to you, I do not say by My own power. The Father Who lives in Me does His work through Me.

11 C réanme que Yo estoy en el Padre y el Padre en Mí; y si no, crean por las obras mismas.

“Believe Me that I am in the Father and that the Father is in Me. Or else believe Me because of the things I do.

12 E n verdad les digo: el que cree en Mí, las obras que Yo hago, él las hará también; y aun mayores que éstas hará, porque Yo voy al Padre.

For sure, I tell you, whoever puts his trust in Me can do the things I am doing. He will do even greater things than these because I am going to the Father.

13 Y todo lo que pidan en Mi nombre, lo haré, para que el Padre sea glorificado en el Hijo.

Whatever you ask in My name, I will do it so the shining-greatness of the Father may be seen in the Son.

14 S i Me piden algo en Mi nombre, Yo lo haré. La Promesa del Espíritu Santo

Yes, if you ask anything in My name, I will do it. Jesus Promises to Give the Holy Spirit

15 “ Si ustedes Me aman, guardarán Mis mandamientos.

“If you love Me, you will do what I say.

16 E ntonces Yo rogaré al Padre, y El les dará otro Consolador (Intercesor) para que esté con ustedes para siempre;

Then I will ask My Father and He will give you another Helper. He will be with you forever.

17 e s decir, el Espíritu de verdad, a quien el mundo no puede recibir, porque ni Lo ve ni Lo conoce, pero ustedes sí Lo conocen porque mora con ustedes y estará en ustedes.

He is the Spirit of Truth. The world cannot receive Him. It does not see Him or know Him. You know Him because He lives with you and will be in you. Jesus Tells of His Death

18 N o los dejaré huérfanos; vendré a ustedes.

“I will not leave you without help as children without parents. I will come to you.

19 U n poco más de tiempo y el mundo no Me verá más, pero ustedes Me verán; porque Yo vivo, ustedes también vivirán.

In a little while the world will see Me no more. You will see Me. Because I live, you will live also.

20 E n ese día conocerán que Yo estoy en Mi Padre, y ustedes en Mí y Yo en ustedes.

When that day comes, you will know that I am in My Father. You will know that you are in Me. You will know that I am in you.

21 E l que tiene Mis mandamientos y los guarda, ése es el que Me ama; y el que Me ama será amado por Mi Padre; y Yo lo amaré y Me manifestaré a él.”

The one who loves Me is the one who has My teaching and obeys it. My Father will love whoever loves Me. I will love him and will show Myself to him.”

22 J udas (no el Iscariote) Le dijo: “Señor, ¿y qué ha pasado que Te vas a manifestar a nosotros y no al mundo ?”

The other Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Why is it You are going to show Yourself to us followers and not to the world?”

23 J esús le respondió: “Si alguien Me ama, guardará Mi palabra; y Mi Padre lo amará, y vendremos a él, y haremos con él morada.

Jesus said, “The one who loves Me will obey My teaching. My Father will love him. We will come to him and live with him.

24 E l que no Me ama, no guarda Mis palabras; y la palabra que ustedes oyen no es Mía, sino del Padre que Me envió.

The one who does not love Me does not obey My teaching. The teaching you are now hearing is not My teaching but it is from My Father Who sent Me.

25 “ Estas cosas les he dicho estando con ustedes.

“I have told you these things while I am still with you.

26 P ero el Consolador (Intercesor), el Espíritu Santo, a quien el Padre enviará en Mi nombre, El les enseñará todas las cosas, y les recordará todo lo que les he dicho. La Paz de Cristo

The Helper is the Holy Spirit. The Father will send Him in My place. He will teach you everything and help you remember everything I have told you. Jesus Gives His Followers Peace

27 L a paz les dejo, Mi paz les doy; no se la doy a ustedes como el mundo la da. No se turbe su corazón ni tenga miedo.

“Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give peace to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.

28 O yeron que les dije: ‘Me voy, y vendré a ustedes.’ Si Me amaran, se regocijarían, porque voy al Padre, ya que el Padre es mayor que Yo.

You heard Me say that I am going away. But I am coming back to you. If you love Me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father. The Father is greater than I.

29 Y se lo he dicho ahora, antes que suceda, para que cuando suceda, crean.

I have told you this before it happens. Then when it does happen, you will believe.

30 N o hablaré mucho más con ustedes, porque viene el príncipe (gobernante) de este mundo, y él no tiene nada en Mí;

“I will not talk much more with you. The leader of this world is coming. He has no power over Me.

31 p ero para que el mundo sepa que Yo amo al Padre, y como el Padre Me mandó, así hago. Levántense, vámonos de aquí.

I am doing what the Father told Me to do so the world may know I love the Father. Come, let us be on our way.
