1 D o you indeed speak righteousness, O gods? Do you judge uprightly, O sons of men?

Por ventura oh congregación, ¿pronunciáis en verdad justicia? ¿Juzgáis rectamente, hijos de Adán?

2 N o, in heart you work unrighteousness; On earth you weigh out the violence of your hands.

Antes, de corazón obráis iniquidades en la tierra; hacéis pesar la violencia de vuestras manos.

3 T he wicked are estranged from the womb; These who speak lies go astray from birth.

Se extrañaron los impíos desde la matriz; erraron desde el vientre, hablando mentira.

4 T hey have venom like the venom of a serpent; Like a deaf cobra that stops up its ear,

Veneno tienen semejante al veneno de la serpiente; son como áspid sordo que cierra su oído;

5 S o that it does not hear the voice of charmers, Or a skillful caster of spells.

que no oye la voz de los que encantan, por más hábil que el encantador sea.

6 O God, shatter their teeth in their mouth; Break out the fangs of the young lions, O Lord.

¶ Oh Dios, quiebra sus dientes en sus bocas; quiebra, oh SEÑOR, las muelas de los leoncillos.

7 L et them flow away like water that runs off; When he aims his arrows, let them be as headless shafts.

Córranse como aguas que se van de suyo; armen sus saetas como si fueran cortadas.

8 L et them be as a snail which melts away as it goes along, Like the miscarriages of a woman which never see the sun.

Pasen de este mundo como el caracol que se deslíe; como el abortivo de mujer, no vean el sol.

9 B efore your pots can feel the fire of thorns He will sweep them away with a whirlwind, the green and the burning alike.

Antes que vuestras ollas sientan el fuego de las espinas, así vivos, así airado, los arrebate él con tempestad.

10 T he righteous will rejoice when he sees the vengeance; He will wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

Se alegrará el justo cuando viere la venganza; sus pies lavará en la sangre del impío.

11 A nd men will say, “Surely there is a reward for the righteous; Surely there is a God who judges on earth!”

Entonces dirá el hombre: Ciertamente hay fruto para el justo; ciertamente hay Dios que juzga en la tierra.
