1 ¿ Por qué te glorías de maldad, oh hombre fuerte? La misericordia de Dios es cada día.

Why do you boast in evil, O mighty man? The lovingkindness of God endures all day long.

2 A gravios maquina tu lengua; como navaja amolada hace engaño.

Your tongue devises destruction, Like a sharp razor, O worker of deceit.

3 A maste el mal más que el bien; la mentira más que hablar justicia. (Selah.)

You love evil more than good, Falsehood more than speaking what is right. Selah.

4 H as amado toda suerte de palabras perniciosas, engañosa lengua.

You love all words that devour, O deceitful tongue.

5 P or tanto Dios te derribará para siempre; te cortará y te arrancará de tu morada, y te desarraigará de la tierra de los vivientes. (Selah.)

But God will break you down forever; He will snatch you up and tear you away from your tent, And uproot you from the land of the living. Selah.

6 ¶ Y verán los justos, y temerán; y se reirán de él, diciendo:

The righteous will see and fear, And will laugh at him, saying,

7 H e aquí un varón que no puso a Dios por su fortaleza, sino que confió en la multitud de sus riquezas; se esforzó en su maldad.

“Behold, the man who would not make God his refuge, But trusted in the abundance of his riches And was strong in his evil desire.”

8 M as yo estoy como oliva verde en la Casa de Dios; confié en la misericordia de Dios perpetua y eternalmente.

But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the lovingkindness of God forever and ever.

9 T e alabaré para siempre porque obraste; y esperaré a tu Nombre, porque es bueno, delante de tus misericordiosos.

I will give You thanks forever, because You have done it, And I will wait on Your name, for it is good, in the presence of Your godly ones.
