1 S e alegrarán el desierto y la soledad; el yermo se gozará, y florecerá como lirio.

The wilderness and the desert will be glad, And the Arabah will rejoice and blossom; Like the crocus

2 F lorecerá profusamente, y también alabará y cantará con júbilo; la honra del Líbano le será dada, la hermosura del Carmelo y de Sarón. Ellos verán la gloria del SEÑOR, la hermosura del Dios nuestro.

It will blossom profusely And rejoice with rejoicing and shout of joy. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, The majesty of Carmel and Sharon. They will see the glory of the Lord, The majesty of our God.

3 C onfortad las manos cansadas, esforzad las rodillas que titubean.

Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble.

4 D ecid a los medrosos de corazón: Confortaos, no temáis; he aquí que vuestro Dios viene con venganza, con pago, el mismo Dios vendrá, y os salvará.

Say to those with anxious heart, “Take courage, fear not. Behold, your God will come with vengeance; The recompense of God will come, But He will save you.”

5 E ntonces los ojos de los ciegos serán abiertos; y los oídos de los sordos se abrirán.

Then the eyes of the blind will be opened And the ears of the deaf will be unstopped.

6 E ntonces el cojo saltará como un ciervo; y alabará la lengua del mudo; porque aguas serán cavadas en el desierto, y arroyos en la soledad.

Then the lame will leap like a deer, And the tongue of the mute will shout for joy. For waters will break forth in the wilderness And streams in the Arabah.

7 E l lugar seco será tornado en estanque, y el sequedal en manaderos de aguas; en la habitación de dragones, en su cama, será lugar de cañas y de juncos.

The scorched land will become a pool And the thirsty ground springs of water; In the haunt of jackals, its resting place, Grass becomes reeds and rushes.

8 Y habrá allí camino y calzada, y se llamará Camino de Santidad; no pasará por él hombre inmundo; y habrá para ellos en él quien los acompañe, de tal manera que los insensatos no yerren.

A highway will be there, a roadway, And it will be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean will not travel on it, But it will be for him who walks that way, And fools will not wander on it.

9 N o habrá allí león, ni bestia fiera subirá por él, ni allí se hallará; para que puedan caminar los redimidos.

No lion will be there, Nor will any vicious beast go up on it; These will not be found there. But the redeemed will walk there,

10 Y los rescatados del SEÑOR volverán, y vendrán a Sion con cánticos; y gozo perpetuo será sobre sus cabezas; y retendrán el gozo, y la alegría, y huirán la tristeza y el gemido.

And the ransomed of the Lord will return And come with joyful shouting to Zion, With everlasting joy upon their heads. They will find gladness and joy, And sorrow and sighing will flee away.
