1 A cuérdate, oh SEÑOR, de David, de toda su aflicción;

Yahweh, remember David and all his affliction,

2 d e cómo juró al SEÑOR, prometió al Fuerte de Jacob:

how he swore to Yahweh, and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:

3 N o entraré en la morada de mi casa, ni subiré sobre el lecho de mi estrado;

“Surely I will not come into the structure of my house, nor go up into my bed;

4 n o daré sueño a mis ojos, ni a mis párpados adormecimiento,

I will not give sleep to my eyes, or slumber to my eyelids;

5 h asta que halle lugar para el SEÑOR, moradas para el Fuerte de Jacob.

until I find out a place for Yahweh, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

6 H e aquí, en Efrata oímos de ella; la hallamos en los campos del bosque.

Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah. We found it in the field of Jaar:

7 E ntraremos en sus tiendas; adoremos al estrado de sus pies.

“We will go into his dwelling place. We will worship at his footstool.

8 L evántate, oh SEÑOR, a tu reposo; tú y el arca de tu fortaleza.

Arise, Yahweh, into your resting place; you, and the ark of your strength.

9 T us sacerdotes se vistan de justicia, y se regocijen tus misericordiosos.

Let your priest be clothed with righteousness. Let your saints shout for joy!”

10 P or amor de David tu siervo no vuelvas de tu ungido el rostro.

For your servant David’s sake, don’t turn away the face of your anointed one.

11 ¶ Juró el SEÑOR verdad a David, no se apartará de ella; del fruto de tu vientre pondré sobre tu trono.

Yahweh has sworn to David in truth. He will not turn from it: “I will set the fruit of your body on your throne.

12 S i tus hijos guardaren mi alianza, y mi testimonio que yo les enseñare; sus hijos también se sentarán sobre tu trono para siempre.

If your children will keep my covenant, my testimony that I will teach them, their children also will sit on your throne forever more.”

13 P orque el SEÑOR ha elegido a Sion; la deseó por habitación para sí.

For Yahweh has chosen Zion. He has desired it for his habitation.

14 E ste será mi reposo para siempre; aquí habitaré, porque la he deseado.

“This is my resting place forever. Here I will live, for I have desired it.

15 B endeciré abundantemente su provisión; a sus pobres saciaré de pan.

I will abundantly bless her provision. I will satisfy her poor with bread.

16 Y a sus sacerdotes vestiré de salud, y sus misericordiosos exultarán de gozo.

Her priests I will also clothe with salvation. Her saints will shout aloud for joy.

17 A llí haré reverdecer el cuerno de David; yo he aparejado lámpara a mi ungido.

There I will make the horn of David to bud. I have ordained a lamp for my anointed.

18 A sus enemigos vestiré de confusión; y sobre él florecerá su corona.

I will clothe his enemies with shame, but on himself, his crown will be resplendent.”
