1 C ántico gradual. ACUÉRDATE, oh Jehová, de David, Y de toda su aflicción;

Yahweh, remember David and all his affliction,

2 Q ue juró él á Jehová, Prometió al Fuerte de Jacob:

how he swore to Yahweh, and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:

3 N o entraré en la morada de mi casa, Ni subiré sobre el lecho de mi estrado;

“Surely I will not come into the structure of my house, nor go up into my bed;

4 N o daré sueño á mis ojos, Ni á mis párpados adormecimiento.

I will not give sleep to my eyes, or slumber to my eyelids;

5 H asta que halle lugar para Jehová, Moradas para el Fuerte de Jacob.

until I find out a place for Yahweh, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

6 H e aquí, en Ephrata oímos de ella: Hallamósla en los campos del bosque.

Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah. We found it in the field of Jaar:

7 E ntraremos en sus tiendas; Encorvarnos hemos al estrado de sus pies.

“We will go into his dwelling place. We will worship at his footstool.

8 L evántate, oh Jehová, á tu reposo; Tú y el arca de tu fortaleza.

Arise, Yahweh, into your resting place; you, and the ark of your strength.

9 T us sacerdotes se vistan de justicia, Y regocíjense tus santos.

Let your priest be clothed with righteousness. Let your saints shout for joy!”

10 P or amor de David tu siervo No vuelvas de tu ungido el rostro.

For your servant David’s sake, don’t turn away the face of your anointed one.

11 E n verdad juró Jehová á David, No se apartará de ellos: Del fruto de tu vientre pondré sobre tu trono.

Yahweh has sworn to David in truth. He will not turn from it: “I will set the fruit of your body on your throne.

12 S i tus hijos guardaren mi alianza, Y mi testimonio que yo les enseñaré, Sus hijos también se sentarán sobre tu trono para siempre.

If your children will keep my covenant, my testimony that I will teach them, their children also will sit on your throne forever more.”

13 P orque Jehová ha elegido á Sión; Deseóla por habitación para sí.

For Yahweh has chosen Zion. He has desired it for his habitation.

14 E ste es mi reposo para siempre: Aquí habitaré, porque la he deseado.

“This is my resting place forever. Here I will live, for I have desired it.

15 A su mantenimiento daré bendición: Sus pobres saciaré de pan.

I will abundantly bless her provision. I will satisfy her poor with bread.

16 A simismo vestiré á sus sacerdotes de salud, Y sus santos darán voces de júbilo.

Her priests I will also clothe with salvation. Her saints will shout aloud for joy.

17 A llí haré reverdecer el cuerno de David: He prevenido lámpara á mi ungido.

There I will make the horn of David to bud. I have ordained a lamp for my anointed.

18 A sus enemigos vestiré de confusión: Mas sobre él florecerá su corona.

I will clothe his enemies with shame, but on himself, his crown will be resplendent.”
