1 G ive the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king’s son.

2 H e shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.

ed egli giudicherà il tuo popolo con giustizia e i tuoi afflitti con rettitudine.

3 T he mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.

I monti porteranno pace al popolo e i colli giustizia.

4 H e shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.

Egli farà giustizia agli afflitti del popolo, salverà i figli del bisognoso e schiaccerà l'oppressore.

5 T hey shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.

Essi ti temeranno finché dureranno il sole e la luna, per tutte le generazioni.

6 H e shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.

Egli scenderà come pioggia sull'erba falciata, come un acquazzone che annaffia la terra.

7 I n his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.

Nei suoi giorni il giusto fiorirà e vi sarà abbondanza di pace finché non vi sia piú luna.

8 H e shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.

Egli regnerà da un mare all'altro e dal fiume fino alle estremità della terra.

9 T hey that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.

Gli abitanti del deserto s'inchineranno davanti a lui, e i suoi nemici leccheranno la polvere.

10 T he kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.

I re di Tarshish e delle isole gli pagheranno il tributo, i re di Sceba e di Saba gli offriranno doni.

11 Y ea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.

Sí, tutti i re lo adoreranno e tutte le nazioni lo serviranno

12 F or he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.

Poiché egli libererà il bisognoso che grida, e il misero che non ha chi lo aiuti.

13 H e shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.

Egli avrà compassione del debole e del bisognoso e salverà la vita dei bisognosi.

14 H e shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.

Egli riscatterà la loro vita dall'oppressione e dalla violenza, e il loro sangue sarà prezioso davanti a lui.

15 A nd he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.

Ed egli vivrà; e gli sarà dato l'oro di Sceba, si pregherà per lui del continuo, e sarà benedetto tutto il giorno.

16 T here shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.

Vi sarà abbondanza di grano sulla terra, sulla sommità dei monti; le sue spighe ondeggeranno come gli alberi del Libano, e gli abitanti delle città fioriranno come l'erba della terra.

17 H is name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.

Il suo nome durerà in eterno, il suo nome sarà propagato finché vi sarà il sole; e tutte le nazioni saranno benedette in lui e lo proclameranno beato.

18 B lessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.

Benedetto sia l'Eterno DIO, il DIO d'Israele; egli solo fa meraviglie.

19 A nd blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.

Sia benedetto in eterno il suo nome glorioso, e tutta la terra sia ripiena della sua gloria, Amen, amen.
