1 G ive the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king’s son.

أعطِ يا اللهَ حُكماً سَدِيداً لِلمَلِكِ. وَلِابنِ المَلِكِ أعْطِ العَدلَ وَالإنصافَ.

2 H e shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.

لِكَي يَحكُمَ المَلِكُ شَعبَكَ بِالإنصافِ وَيَقضِيَ بِالعَدلِ للمَساكِينِ.

3 T he mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.

لِكَي تُثمِرَ الجِبالُ سَلاماً، وَالتِّلالُ أعمالَ خَيرٍ.

4 H e shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.

لِكَي يُنصِفَ المَلِكُ المَساكِينَ وَيُغِيثَ المُحتاجَ وَيُعاقِبَ الظّالِمِينَ.

5 T hey shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.

لِكَي يَخافَكَ وَيَتَّقِيكَ البَشَرُ جِيلاً بَعدَ جِيلٍ طالَما وُجِدَتْ شَمسٌ وَكانَ قَمَرٌ!

6 H e shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.

وَلِيَكُنِ المَلِكُ كَالنَّدَى عَلَى عُشْبِ الحَقلِ. وَكَالمَطَرِ النّازِلِ عَلَى الأرْضِ.

7 I n his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.

لِيَزدَهِرِ الإنسانُ المُستَقِيمُ فِي حَياتِهِ، وَلِيَزدَهِرْ سَلامُهُ إلَى الأبَدِ.

8 H e shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.

لِيَمتَدَّ مُلْكُهُ مِنَ البَحرِ إلَى البَحرِ، وَمِنَ النَّهْرِ إلَى أقاصِي الأرْضِ.

9 T hey that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.

لِيَنْحَنِ لَهُ أعداؤُهُ، سُكّانُ الصَّحراءِ، وَليَلحَسُوا تُرابَ قَدَمَيهِ.

10 T he kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.

لِيَأتِهِ مُلُوكُ تَرْشِيشَ وَالسَّواحِلِ بِهَدايا، وَلِيُقَدِّمْ لَهُ مُلُوكُ شَبا وَسَبأَ ضَرِيبَةً.

11 Y ea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.

لِيَنْحَنِ خُضُوعاً لَهُ كُلُّ المُلُوكِ، وَلِتَخدِمْهُ كُلُّ الشُّعُوبِ.

12 F or he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.

لأنَّهُ يُنقِذُ المَساكِينَ وَالمُحتاجِينَ المُستَغِيثِينَ، الَّذِينَ لا مُنقِذَ لَهُمْ.

13 H e shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.

عَلَى المَساكِينَ وَالبائِسِينَ يَتَحَنَّنُ المَلِكُ، وَيُخَلِّصُ حَياةَ العاجِزِينَ المُحتاجِينَ.

14 H e shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.

مِنَ المَكائِدِ الخَبِيثَةِ وَالبَطشِ يَفدِي نُفُوسَهُمْ. فَحَياتُهُمْ ثَمِينَةٌ لَدَيهِ.

15 A nd he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.

لَيتَ عُمرَ المَلِكِ يَطُولُ وَيَكُونَ ذَهَبُ شَبا مِنْ نَصِيبِهِ. لَيتَ النّاسَ يُصَلُّونَ لأجلِهِ وَيُبارِكُونَهُ دائِماً.

16 T here shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.

لَيتَ حُقُولَ الحُبُوبِ تُغَطِّي رُؤُوسَ الجِبالِ! لَيتَ ثَمَرَها يَكبُرُ كَأرْزِ لُبنانَ، وَيَطلُعُ مِنَ المُدُنِ كَالعُشبِ فِي الحُقُولِ.

17 H is name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.

لَيْتَ اسْمَهُ يَدُومُ إلَى الأبَدِ، وَيَعْرِفُهُ كُلُّ مَنْ هُوَ تَحتَ الشَّمسِ. لَيتَ الأُمَمَ بِاسْمِهِ تَتَبارَكُ، وَيَطلُبُونَ لَهُ البَرَكَةَ.

18 B lessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.

لِيَتَبارَكِ اللهُ ، إلَهُ إسْرائِيلَ الَّذِي وَحدَهُ يَصنَعُ العَجائِبَ!

19 A nd blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.

لِيَتَبارَكِ اسْمُهُ المَجِيدُ إلَى الأبَدِ، وَلْيَملأْ مَجْدُهُ كُلَّ الأرْضِ. آمِينَ ثُمَّ آمِينَ.

20 T he prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.

بِهَذا تَنتَهِي صَلَواتُ داوُدَ بْنِ يَسَّى.
