1 A nd the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

وَقالَ اللهُ لِمُوسَى:

2 S peak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the Lord your God.

«قُلْ لِبَنِي إسْرائِيلَ: أنا إلَهُكُمْ.

3 A fter the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.

فَلا تَعمَلُوا الأشياءَ الَّتِي كانَتْ تُعمَلُ فِي أرْضِ مِصرَ حَيثُ كُنتُمْ تَسكُنُونَ. وَلا تَعمَلُوا الأُمُورَ الَّتِي تُعمَلُ فِي أرْضِ كَنعانَ حَيثُ سَأُحضِرُكُمْ. وَلا تَعِيشُوا بِحَسَبِ شَرائِعِهِمْ،

4 Y e shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the Lord your God.

بَلِ احْفَظُوا أحكامِي وَاعْمَلُوا بِشَرائِعِي، لِكَي تَحيُوا بِها. أنا إلَهُكُمْ.

5 Y e shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the Lord.

احفَظُوا شَرائِعِي وَأحكامِي، لأنَّ الإنسانَ الَّذِي يَعْمَلُ ذَلِكَ يَحيا. أنا اللهُ.

6 N one of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the Lord.

«لا يُعاشِرْ أحَدٌ امْرأةً لَهُ بِها صِلَةُ قَرابَةٍ شَدِيدَةٌ. أنا اللهُ.

7 T he nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

لا تَأتِيَ بِالعارِ لِأبِيكَ بِأنْ تُعاشِرَ أُمَّكَ! إنَّها أُمُّكَ! فَلا تُعاشِرْها.

8 T he nakedness of thy father’s wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father’s nakedness.

لا تُعاشِرْ زَوجَةَ أبِيكَ، فَهَذا يَأتِي بِالعارِ إلَى أبِيكَ.

9 T he nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.

لا تُعاشِرْ أُختَكَ، لا بِنتَ أُمِّكَ وَلا بِنتَ أبِيكَ، إنْ كانَتْ قَدْ وُلِدَتْ فِي نَفسِ البَيتِ أوْ فِي بَيتٍ آخَرَ.

10 T he nakedness of thy son’s daughter, or of thy daughter’s daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness.

لا تُعاشِرِ ابْنَةَ ابْنِكَ أوِ ابْنَةَ ابْنَتِكَ لِأنَّ هَذا سَيَأتِي بِالعارِ عَلَيكَ.

11 T he nakedness of thy father’s wife’s daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

لا تُعاشِرِ ابْنَةَ زَوجَةَ أبِيكَ الَّتِي أنجَبَتْها مِنْ أبِيكَ، فَهِيَ أُختُكَ.

12 T hou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s sister: she is thy father’s near kinswoman.

لا تُعاشِرْ أُختَ أبِيكَ، فَهِيَ قَرِيبَةٌ جِدّاً لِأبِيكَ.

13 T hou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother’s sister: for she is thy mother’s near kinswoman.

لا تُعاشِرْ أُختَ أُمِّكَ، فَهِيَ قَرِيبَةٌ جِدّاً لِأُمِّكَ.

14 T hou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she is thine aunt.

لا تُعاشِرْ زَوجَةَ عَمِّكَ، فَهَذا يَأتِي بِالعارِ عَلَى عَمِّكَ، إنَّها عَمَّتُكَ.

15 T hou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: she is thy son’s wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

لا تُعاشِرْ كِنَّتَكَ. إنَّها زَوجَةُ ابْنِكَ، فَلا تُعاشِرْها.

16 T hou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother’s wife: it is thy brother’s nakedness.

لا تُعاشِرِ ابْنَةَ زَوجَةِ أخِيكَ، فَهَذا يَأتِي بِالعارِ عَلَى أخِيكَ.

17 T hou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son’s daughter, or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: it is wickedness.

لا تُعاشِرِ امْرأةً وَابْنَتَها. وَلا تَتَزَوَّجْ وَتُعاشِرِ ابْنَةَ ابْنِها أوِ ابْنَةَ ابْنَتِها. إنَّهُما قَرِيبَتانِ جِدّاً لَها. هَذا شَرٌّ.

18 N either shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life time.

لا تَتَزَوَّجْ أُخْتَ زَوجَتِكَ وَتُعاشِرْها بَينَما أُختُها حَيَّةً.

19 A lso thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.

لا تُعاشِرِ امْرَأتَكَ فِي فَترَةِ حَيضِها الشَّهرِيَّةِ إذْ تَكُونُ نَجِسَةً.

20 M oreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour’s wife, to defile thyself with her.

لا تُعاشِرْ زَوجَةَ جارِكَ فَتُنَجِّسَ نَفسَكَ بِها.

21 A nd thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the Lord.

«لا تَسمَحْ بِأنْ يُعطَى أحَدُ أولادِكَ لِيُذبَحَ لِلإلَهِ مُولَكَ. لا تُنَجِّسِ اسْمَ إلَهِكَ بِعَمَلِ هَذا. أنا اللهُ.

22 T hou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

«لا تُعاشِرْ ذَكَراً كَما تَفعَلُ مَعَ امْرأةٍ. هَذِهِ نَجاسَةٌ.

23 N either shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.

لا تُعاشِرْ حَيواناً فَتَتَنَجَّسَ بِهِ. وَلا تُعاشِرِ المَرأةُ حَيواناً. فَهَذا أمْرٌ بَغيضٌ جِدّاً.

24 D efile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:

«لا تَتَنَجَّسُوا بَأيٍّ مِنْ هَذِهِ الأعمالِ، لِأنَّ الأُمَمَ الَّتِي سَأطرُدُها مِنْ أمامِكُمْ يُنَجِّسُونَ أنفُسَهُمْ بِها،

25 a nd the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.

حَتَّى صارَتِ الأرْضُ نَجِسَةً. لِذا سَأُعاقِبُها عَلَى خَطايا الشَّعبِ الَّذِي يَعِيشُ فِيها، كَي تَطرُدَ الأرْضُ السّاكِنِينَ فِيها.

26 Y e shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:

«احْفَظُوا شَرائِعِي وَأحكامِي، وَلا تَعمَلُوا كُلَّ هَذِهِ الأُمُورِ البَغِيضَةِ. لا المُواطِنُ وَلا الغَرِيبُ السّاكِنُ بَينَكُمْ.

27 ( for all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)

لِأنَّ الَّذِينَ عاشُوا فِي الأرْضِ قَبلَكُمْ عَمِلُوا كُلَّ هَذِهِ الأُمُورِ البَغِيضَةِ، فَصارَتِ الأرْضُ نَجِسَةً.

28 t hat the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.

فَهَكَذا أيضاً سَتَطرُدُكُمُ الأرْضُ بِسَبَبِ تَنْجِيسِكُمْ إيَّاها، كَما طَرَدَتِ الأُمَمَ الَّتِي كانَتْ مِنْ قَبلِكُمْ.

29 F or whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.

فَكُلُّ مَنْ يَعمَلُ شَيئاً مِنْ هَذِهِ الأُمُورِ البَغِيضَةِ، يُقطَعُ مِنْ شَعبِهِ.

30 T herefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the Lord your God.

احفَظُوا وَصِيَّتِي، فَلا تَعمَلُوا أيّاً مِنَ الأُمُورِ البَغِيضَةِ الَّتِي عُمِلَتْ قَبلَكُمْ. لا تُنَجِّسُوا أنفُسَكُمْ بِعَمَلِ هَذِهِ الأُمُورِ. أنا إلَهُكُمْ.»
