1 T hese are the sons of Israel; Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,

هَؤُلاءِ هُمْ أبْناءُ إسْرائِيلَ: رَأُوبَيْنُ وَشَمْعُونُ وَلاوِي وَيَهُوذا وَيَسّاكَرُ وَزَبُولُونُ

2 D an, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

وَدانُ وَيُوسُفُ وَبَنْيامِيْنُ وَنَفْتالِي وَجادُ وَأشِيرُ. أبْناءُ يَهُوذا

3 T he sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah: which three were born unto him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, the firstborn of Judah, was evil in the sight of the Lord; and he slew him.

أبْناءُ يَهُوذا: عَيرُ وَأُونانُ وَشَيلَةُ. وُلِدَ هَؤُلاءِ الثَّلاثَةُ مِنْ بِنتِ شُوعَ، المَرأةِ الكَنْعانِيَّةِ. وَعَمِلَ عِيرٌ بِكْرُ يَهُوذا الشَّرَّ أمامَ اللهِ ، فَأماتَهُ اللهُ.

4 A nd Tamar his daughter in law bare him Pharez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.

وَأنجَبَتْ ثامارُ، كَنَّةُ يَهُوذا، لَهُ فارَصَ وَزارَحَ. وَكانَ مَجمُوعُ أبْناءِ يَهُوذا خَمْسَةً.

5 T he sons of Pharez; Hezron, and Hamul.

ابْنا فارَصَ هُما حَصْرُونُ وَحامُولُ.

6 A nd the sons of Zerah; Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara: five of them in all.

وَأبْناءُ زارَحَ هُمْ زِمْرِي وَإيثانُ وَهَيْمانُ وَكَلْكُولُ وَدارَعُ، وَمَجمُوعُهُمْ خَمْسَةٌ.

7 A nd the sons of Carmi; Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the thing accursed.

وَعَخانُ بْنُ كَرْمِي الَّذِي جَلَبَ المَتاعِبَ لإسْرائِيلَ عِنْدَما احتَفَظَ بِأشْياءَ كانَ يُفْتَرَضُ بِأنْ تُبادَ كُلِّيّاً كَتَقْدِمَةٍ للهِ.

8 A nd the sons of Ethan; Azariah.

وَابْنُ إيثانَ عَزَرْيا.

9 T he sons also of Hezron, that were born unto him; Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.

أبْناءُ حَصْرُونَ هُمْ يَرْحَمْئِيلُ وَرامُ وَكَلُوبايُ. رامُ بْنُ حَصْرُون

10 A nd Ram begat Amminadab; and Amminadab begat Nahshon, prince of the children of Judah;

أنجَبَ رامُ عَمِّينادابَ. وَأنجَبَ عَمِّينادابُ نَحْشُونَ، قائِدَ شَعبِ يَهُوذا.

11 a nd Nahshon begat Salma, and Salma begat Boaz,

وَأنجَبَ نَحْشُونُ سَلْمُو، وَأنجَبَ سَلْمُو بُوعَزَ.

12 a nd Boaz begat Obed, and Obed begat Jesse,

وَأنجَبَ بُوعَزُ عُوبِيدَ. وَأنجَبَ عُوبِيدُ يَسَّى.

13 a nd Jesse begat his firstborn Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimma the third,

وَأنجَبَ يَسَّى بِكْرَهُ ألِيآبَ، وَابْنَهُ الثّانِي أبِينادابَ، وَابْنَهُ الثّالِثَ شِمْعَى،

14 N ethaneel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,

وَابْنَهُ الرّابِعَ نَثْنَئِيلَ، وَابْنَهُ الخامِسَ رَدّايَ،

15 O zem the sixth, David the seventh:

وَابْنَهُ السّادِسَ أُوصَمَ، وَابْنَهُ السّابِعَ داوُدَ،

16 w hose sisters were Zeruiah, and Abigail. And the sons of Zeruiah; Abishai, and Joab, and Asahel, three.

وَأُختَيهِمْ صُرُوِيَّةَ وَأبِيجايِلَ. وَأبناءُ صُرُوِيَّةَ: أبْشايُ، وَيُوآبُ، وَعَسائِيلُ، وَمَجمُوعُهُمْ ثَلاثَةٌ.

17 A nd Abigail bare Amasa: and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmeelite.

وَأنجَبَتْ أبِيجايِلُ عَماسا مِنْ يَثْرَ الإسْماعِيلِيِّ. كالِبُ بْنُ حَصْرُون

18 A nd Caleb the son of Hezron begat children of Azubah his wife, and of Jerioth: her sons are these; Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.

وَأنجَبَ كالِبُ بْنُ حَصْرُونَ يَرِيعُوثَ مِنْ زَوجَتِهِ عَزُوبَةَ. وَهَؤُلاءِ هُمْ أبْناؤُها: ياشَرُ، وَشُوبابُ، وَأردُونُ.

19 A nd when Azubah was dead, Caleb took unto him Ephrath, which bare him Hur.

وَلَمّا ماتَتْ عَزُوبَةُ، تَزَوَّجَ كالِبُ أفْراتَ، فَوَلَدَتْ لَهُ حُورَ.

20 A nd Hur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezaleel.

وَأنجَبَ حُورُ أُورِي. وَأنجَبَ أُورِي بَصَلْئِيلَ.

21 A nd afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was threescore years old; and she bare him Segub.

ثُمَّ تَزَوَّجَ حَصْرُونُ بِنْتَ ماكِيرَ، أبي جِلْعادَ – وَكانَ قَدْ تَزَوَّجَها وَهُوَ فِي السِّتِّينَ مِنْ عُمْرِهِ – فَوَلَدَتْ لَهُ سَجُوبَ.

22 A nd Segub begat Jair, who had three and twenty cities in the land of Gilead.

وَأنجَبَ سَجُوبُ يائِيرَ. وَقَدْ حَكَمَ يائِيرُ ثَلاثاً وَعِشْرِينَ مَدِينَةً فِي أرْضِ جِلْعادَ.

23 A nd he took Geshur, and Aram, with the towns of Jair, from them, with Kenath, and the towns thereof, even threescore cities. All these belonged to the sons of Machir the father of Gilead.

لَكِنَّ جَشُورَ وَأرامَ أخَذا مِنْها قُرَى يائِيرَ مَعَ قَناةَ وَالقُرَى التّابِعَةِ لَها، وَمَجمُوعُها سِتُّونَ. كانَتْ كُلُّ هَذِهِ البَلْداتِ لِماكِيرَ وَالِدِ جِلْعادَ.

24 A nd after that Hezron was dead in Caleb-ephratah, then Abiah Hezron’s wife bare him Ashur the father of Tekoa.

وَبَعْدَ أنْ ماتَ حَصْرُونُ، عاشَرَ كالَبُ أفْراتَةَ، فَأنْجَبَتْ لَهُ أشْحُورَ مُؤسِّسَ مَدينَةِ تَقُوعَ. يَرْحَمْئِيلُ بْنُ حَصْرُون

25 A nd the sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron were, Ram the firstborn, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, and Ahijah.

أمّا أبْناءُ يَرْحَمْئِيلَ بِكْرِ حَصْرُونَ فَهُمْ رامُ البِكْرُ، وَبُونَةُ وَأَوْرَنُ وَأُوصَمُ وَأخِيّا.

26 J erahmeel had also another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.

وَكانَ لِيَرْحَمْئِيلَ زَوْجَةٌ أُخْرَى اسْمُها عَطارَةُ، وَهِيَ أُمُّ أُونامَ.

27 A nd the sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerahmeel were, Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker.

وَأبْناءُ رامَ بِكْرِ يَرْحَمْئِيلَ، مَعَصٌ وَيَمِينُ، وَعاقَرُ.

28 A nd the sons of Onam were, Shammai, and Jada. And the sons of Shammai; Nadab, and Abishur.

ابْنا أُونامَ شَمّايُ وَياداعُ. ابْنا شَمّايَ نادابُ وَأبِيشُورُ.

29 A nd the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, and she bare him Ahban, and Molid.

وَكانَتْ أبِيحايِلُ زَوْجَةَ أبِيشُورَ، وَأنجَبَتْ مِنْهُ أحْبانَ وَمُولِيدَ.

30 A nd the sons of Nadab; Seled, and Appaim: but Seled died without children.

ابْنا نادابَ سَلَدُ وَأفّايِمُ. وَماتَ سَلَدُ مِنْ دونِ أولادٍ.

31 A nd the sons of Appaim; Ishi. And the sons of Ishi; Sheshan. And the children of Sheshan; Ahlai.

وَأنجَبَ أفّايِمُ يَشْعِي. وَأنجَبَ يَشْعِي شِيشانَ. وَأنجَبَ شِيشانُ أحلايَ.

32 A nd the sons of Jada the brother of Shammai; Jether, and Jonathan: and Jether died without children.

وَأنجَبَ ياداعُ أخُو شَمّايَ: يَثَراً وَيُوناثانَ. وَماتَ يَثَرٌ مِنْ دونِ أولادٍ.

33 A nd the sons of Jonathan; Peleth, and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.

وَأنجَبَ يُوناثانُ فالَتَ وَزازا. كانَ هَؤُلاءِ أبْناءَ يَرْحَمئِيلَ.

34 N ow Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha.

وَلَمْ يُنجِبْ شِيشانُ أبْناءً بَلْ بَناتٍ فَقَطْ. وَكانَ لَدَيهِ عَبْدٌ مِصْرِيٌّ اسْمُهُ يَرْحَعُ.

35 A nd Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant to wife; and she bare him Attai.

فَزَوَّجَ شِيشانُ ابْنَتَهُ مِنْ عَبْدِهِ يَرْحَعَ، فَأنجَبَتْ لَهُ عَتّايَ.

36 A nd Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad,

وَأنجَبَ عَتّايُ ناثانَ. وَأنجَبَ ناثانُ زابادَ.

37 a nd Zabad begat Ephlal, and Ephlal begat Obed,

وَأنجَبَ زابادُ أفلالَ، وَأنجَبَ أفلالُ عُوبِيدَ.

38 a nd Obed begat Jehu, and Jehu begat Azariah,

وَأنجَبَ عُوبِيدُ ياهُو، وَأنجَبَ ياهُو عَزَرْيا.

39 a nd Azariah begat Helez, and Helez begat Eleasah,

وَأنجَبَ عَزَرْيا حالَصَ، وَأنجَبَ حالَصُ إلْعاسَةَ.

40 a nd Eleasah begat Sisamai, and Sisamai begat Shallum,

وَأنجَبَ إلْعاسَةُ سِسَمايَ، وَأنجَبَ سِسَمايُ شَلُّومَ.

41 a nd Shallum begat Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begat Elishama.

وَأنجَبَ شَلُّومُ يَقَمْيَةَ، وَأنجَبَ يَقَمْيَةُ ألِيشَمَعَ. عَشائِرُ كالَب

42 N ow the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel were, Mesha his firstborn, which was the father of Ziph; and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.

وَأنْجَبَ كالَبُ أخُو يَرْحَمْئِيلَ بِكْرَهُ مِيشاعَ أبا زِيفٍ. كَما أنْجَبَ كَالَبُ مَرِيشَةَ أبا حَبْرُون.

43 A nd the sons of Hebron; Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema.

وَأبناءُ حَبْرُونَ هُمْ قُورَحُ وَتَفُّوحُ وَراقَمُ وَشامَعُ.

44 A nd Shema begat Raham, the father of Jorkoam: and Rekem begat Shammai.

وَأنجَبَ شامِعُ راقَمَ أبا يَرقَعامَ. وَأنجَبَ راقَمُ شَمّايَ.

45 A nd the son of Shammai was Maon: and Maon was the father of Beth-zur.

وَأنجَبَ شَمّايُ مَعُونَ مُؤسِّسَ مَدينَةِ بَيتِ صُورَ.

46 A nd Ephah, Caleb’s concubine, bare Haran, and Moza, and Gazez: and Haran begat Gazez.

وَأنجَبَتْ عِيفَةُ جارِيَةُ كالَبَ حارانَ وَمُوصا وَجازِيزَ. وَأنجَبَ حارانُ جازِيزَ.

47 A nd the sons of Jahdai; Regem, and Jotham, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.

أبْناءُ يَهْدايَ: رَجَمُ وَيُوثامُ وَجِيشانُ وَفَلَطُ وَعِيفَةُ وَشاعَفُ.

48 M aachah, Caleb’s concubine, bare Sheber, and Tirhanah.

وَأنجَبَتْ مَعْكَةُ جارِيَةُ كالَبَ شَبَرَ وَتَرْحَنَةَ.

49 S he bare also Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbenah, and the father of Gibea: and the daughter of Caleb was Achsah.

وَأنجَبَتْ أيضاً شاعَفَ أبا مَدْمَنَّةَ، وَأنجَبَتْ شَوا مُؤسِّسَ مَدينَتِي مَكْبِينا وَجَبَعا. وَعَكْسَةُ هِيَ بِنتُ كالَبَ.

50 T hese were the sons of Caleb the son of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah; Shobal the father of Kirjath-jearim,

هَؤُلاءِ هُمْ أبْناءُ كالَبَ. أبْناءُ حُورَ بِكْرِ أفْراتَةَ هُمْ شُوبالُ، مُؤسِّسُ مَدينَةِ قِرْياتَ يَعارِيمَ.

51 S alma the father of Beth-lehem, Hareph the father of Beth-gader.

وَسَلْما مُؤسِّسُ مَدينَةِ بَيتِ لَحْمَ. وَحارِيفُ مُؤسِّسُ مَدينَةِ بَيتِ جادِيرَ.

52 A nd Shobal the father of Kirjath-jearim had sons; Haroeh, and half of the Manahethites.

وَكانَ لِشُوبالَ، مُؤسِّسِ مَدينَةِ قِرْياتَ يَعارِيمَ، نَسلٌ مِنهُمْ هَرُواهُ وَنِصْفُ المَنُوحِيِّينَ

53 A nd the families of Kirjath-jearim; the Ithrites, and the Puhites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zareathites, and the Eshtaulites.

وَعَشائِرُ قِرْياتَ يَعارِيمَ: اليَثْرِيُّونَ وَالفُوتِيُّونَ وَالشُّماتِيُّونَ وَالمِشْراعِيُّونَ. وَانحَدَرَ مِنْ هَؤُلاءِ الصَّرْعِيُّونَ وَالأشْتَأُولِيُّونَ.

54 T he sons of Salma; Beth-lehem, and the Netophathites, Ataroth, the house of Joab, and half of the Manahethites, the Zorites.

أبْناءُ سَلْما: أهلُ بَيْتَ لَحمَ وَالنَّطُوفاتِيُّونَ وَعَطْرُوتُ بَيتَ يُوآبَ وَالصَّرْتِيُّونَ وَنِصْفُ المَنُوحِيّينَ الآخَرُ.

55 A nd the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.

وَعَشائِرُ الكَتَبَةِ السّاكِنِينَ فِي يَعْبِيصَ: التَّرْعاتِيُّونَ وَالشِّمْعاتِيُّونَ وَالسُّوكاتِيُّونَ. هَؤُلاءِ هُمُ القَينِيُّونَ الَّذِينَ جاءُوا مِنْ حَمَّةَ، مُؤسِّسِ مَدينَةِ بَيْتِ رَكابَ.
