1 S o they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.

وَأدخَلُوا صُنْدُوقَ اللهِ، وَوَضَعُوهُ داخِلَ الخَيمَةِ الَّتِي نَصَبَها داوُدُ لَهُ. وَذَبَحُوا ذَبائِحَ صاعِدَةً وَتَقْدِماتِ سَلامٍ فِي حَضْرَةِ اللهِ.

2 A nd when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.

وَلَمّا أكمَلَ داوُدُ تَقْدِيمَ الذَّبائِحِ الصّاعِدَةِ وَذَبائِحَ السَّلامِ، بارَكَ الشَّعبَ بِاسْمِ اللهِ.

3 A nd he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.

وَوَزَّعَ عَلَى كُلِّ رَجُلٍ وَامْرَأةٍ مِنْ بَنِي إسْرائِيلَ رَغِيفَ خُبْزٍ وَكَعْكَ تَمْرٍ وَكَعْكَ زَبِيبٍ.

4 A nd he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord, and to record, and to thank and praise the Lord God of Israel:

وَعَيَّنَ بَعْضَ الَّلاوِيِّينَ لِيَخدِمُوا كَخُدّامٍ أمامَ صُنْدُوقِ عَهْدِ اللهِ لِكَي يُذِيعَوُا، وَيَشْكُرُوا، وَيُسَبِّحُوا اللهَ ، إلَهَ إسْرائِيلَ.

5 A saph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-edom: and Jeiel with psalteries and with harps; but Asaph made a sound with cymbals;

وَكانَ آسافُ يَقُودُ فِرْقَةَ التَّسْبِيحِ، وَزَكَرِيّا يُساعِدَهُ. بَيْنَما يُعْزِفُ يَعْزِيئِيلُ وَشَمِيرامُوثُ وَيَحِيئِيلُ وَمَتَّثْيا وَألِيآبُ وَبَنايا وَعُوبِيدُ أدُومُ وَيَعِيئِيلُ بِرَبابٍ وَقَياثِيرَ. وَيَضْرِبُ آسافَ الصُّنُوجَ.

6 B enaiah also and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.

وَيَنْفُخُ بَنايا وَيَحَزْيئِيلُ الأبْواقَ بانْتِظامٍ أمامَ صُنْدُوقِ عَهْدِ اللهِ. مَزْمُورُ شُكْرٍ لِداوُد

7 T hen on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the Lord into the hand of Asaph and his brethren.

وَفِي ذَلِكَ اليَوْمِ نَظَمَ داوُدُ مَزْمُورَ شُكْرٍ للهِ عَزَفَهُ آسافُ وَأقْرِباؤُهُ:

8 G ive thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.

احمَدُوا اللهَ ، أذِيعُوا اسْمَهُ. عَرِّفُوا الأُمَمَ بِأعمالِهِ العَظِيمَةِ.

9 S ing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works.

رَنِّمُوا لَهُ، غَنُّوا تَسْبِيحَهُ، حَدِّثُوا بِمُعجِزاتِهِ.

10 G lory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.

افْتَخِرُوا بِاسْمِهِ القُدُّوسِ، وَلْتَبْتَهِجْ قُلُوبُ كُلِّ مَنْ يَطلُبُونَ اللهَ.

11 S eek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually.

اطلُبُوا اللهَ وَقُوَّتَهُ، اسْعُوا إلَيْهِ دائِماً.

12 R emember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

اذْكُرُوا المُعجِزاتِ الَّتِي صَنَعَها، آياتِهِ وَالأحْكامَ الَّتِي نَطَقَ بِها.

13 O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.

يا نَسلَ إسْرائِيلَ، يا خُدّامَهُ، يا أبْناءَ يَعْقُوبَ، مُختارِيهِ.

14 H e is the Lord our God; his judgments are in all the earth.

هُوَ إلَهُنا ، أحكامُهُ تَملأُ الأرْضَ.

15 B e ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;

إلَى الأبَدِ اذْكُرُوا عَهْدَهُ، الكَلامَ الَّذِي أوصَى بِهِ لِألْفِ جِيلٍ،

16 e ven of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;

العَهْدَ الَّذِي قَطَعَهُ مَعَ إبْراهِيمَ، وَوَعَدَ بِهِ إسْحَاقَ.

17 a nd hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,

ثَبَّتَهُ مَعَ يَعْقُوبَ مَرْسُوماً، وَمَعَ إسْرائِيلَ عَهْداً أبَدِيّاً.

18 s aying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;

فَقالَ: «سَأُعطِيكَ أرْضَ كَنْعانَ، فَتَكُونَ مِنْ نَصِيبِكَ.»

19 W hen ye were but few, even a few, and strangers in it.

كانُوا قَلِيلِينَ وَغُرَباءُ فِي الأرْضِ،

20 A nd when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people;

يَرتَحِلُونَ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ إلَى أُمَّةٍ، وَمِنْ مَملَكَةٍ إلَى مَملَكَةٍ.

21 h e suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,

فَلَمْ يَسْمَحِ لِأحَدٍ بِأنْ يَظلِمَهُمْ، وَحَذَّرَ مُلُوكاً مِنَ المَساسِ بِهِمْ.

22 s aying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

قالَ لَهُمْ: «لا تَمَسُّوا مُسَحائِي، وَلا تُؤْذُوا أنبِيائِي!»

23 S ing unto the Lord, all the earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation.

رَنِّمُوا للهِ يا كُلَّ الأرْضِ، أذِيعُوا يَوْماً بَعْدَ يَوْمٍ خَلاصَهُ.

24 D eclare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations.

أعلِنُوا مَجدَهُ بَينَ الأُمَمِ، وَمُعجِزاتِهِ بَينَ الشُّعُوبِ.

25 F or great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods.

لِأنَّ اللهَ عَظِيمٌ وَجَدِيرٌ بِالتَّسْبِيحِ، وَأكثَرُ مَهابَةً مِنْ كُلِّ الآلِهَةِ.

26 F or all the gods of the people are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.

لِأنَّ آلِهَةَ الشُّعُوبِ الأُخرَى أصْنامٌ لا حَولَ لَها وَلا قُوَّةَ، أمّا اللهُ فَصَنَعَ السَّماواتِ.

27 G lory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.

بَهاءٌ وَجَلالٌ فِي حَضْرَتِهِ، وَقُوَّةٌ وَفَرَحٌ فِي مَسْكَنِهِ.

28 G ive unto the Lord, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength.

أعطُوا اللهَ ، يا عائِلاتَ الشُّعُوبِ، أُعطُوا اللهَ مَجداً وَقُوَّةً.

29 G ive unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

أعطُوا اللهَ المَجدَ الَّلائِقَ بِاسْمِهِ. هاتُوا تَقْدِمَةً وَادخُلُوا إلَى حَضْرَتِهِ. اعبُدُوا اللهَ وَاسْجُدُوا لَهُ فِي بَهاءِ قَداسَتِهِ.

30 F ear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.

ارتَعِدُوا أمامَهُ يا كُلَّ شُعُوبِ الأرْضِ حَقّاً. العالَمُ ثابِتٌ فِي مَكانِهِ، لا تَقْدِرُ قُوَّةٌ أنْ تُزَحزِحَهُ.

31 L et the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The Lord reigneth.

لِتَبْتَهِجِ السَّماواتُ وَلْتَفْرَحِ الأرْضُ، وَلْيُقَلْ بَينَ الأُمَمِ: « اللهُ يَملُكُ.»

32 L et the sea roar, and the fulness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.

لِيَهْدِرِ البَحْرُ وَكُلُّ ما يَملأُهُ، لِيَبْتَهِجِ الرِّيفُ وَكُلُّ ما فِيهِ.

33 T hen shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the Lord, because he cometh to judge the earth.

حِينَئِذٍ، سَتَفْرَحُ أشْجارُ الغابَةِ فِي حَضرَةِ اللهِ حِينَ يَأْتِي لِيَحكُمَ عَلَى الأرْضِ.

34 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.

سبِّحُوا اللهَ ، لِأنَّهُ صالِحٌ، لِأنَّ رَحمَتَهُ إلَى الأبَدِ.

35 A nd say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and glory in thy praise.

قُولُوا: «خَلِّصْنا يا إلَهَنا وَمُخَلِّصَنا، وَاجمَعْنا وَأنقِذْنا مِنَ الأُمَمِ، لِكَي نُقَدِّمَ الشُّكْرَ لاسْمِكَ القُدُّوسِ، لِكَي نُخبِرَ بِفَخْرٍ بِأعمالِكَ الجَدِيرَةِ بِالتَّسْبِيحِ.

36 B lessed be the Lord God of Israel for ever and ever. And all the people said, Amen, and praised the Lord.

لِيَتَبارَكِ اللهُ ، إلَهُ إسْرائِيلَ إلَى أبَدِ الآبِدِينَ.» فَقالَ كُلُّ الشَّعبِ: «آمِين!» وَسَبَّحُوا اللهَ.

37 S o he left there before the ark of the covenant of the Lord Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every day’s work required:

وَتَرَكَ داوُدُ آسافَ وَمُساعِدِيهِ هُناكَ أمامَ صُنْدُوقِ عَهْدِ اللهِ لِيَخدِمُوا أمامَ الصُّنْدُوقِ دائِماً حَسَبَ المُتَطَلَّباتِ اليَوْمِيَّةِ.

38 a nd Obed-edom with their brethren, threescore and eight; Obed-edom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be porters:

وَبَقِيَ هُناكَ أيضاً عُوبِيدُ آدُومَ وَأقْرِباؤُهُ الثَّمانِيَةُ وَالسِّتُّونَ، وَعُوبِيدُ أدُومَ بْنُ يَدِيثُونَ وَحُوسَةَ، لِيَخدِمُوا كَبَوّابِينَ.

39 a nd Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of the Lord in the high place that was at Gibeon,

وَبَقِيَ أمامَ خَيمَةِ اجتِماعِ اللهِ فِي المُرْتَفَعِ فِي جِبْعُونَ الكاهِنُ صادُوقُ وَزُمَلاؤُهُ الكَهَنَةُ.

40 t o offer burnt offerings unto the Lord upon the altar of the burnt offering continually morning and evening, and to do according to all that is written in the law of the Lord, which he commanded Israel;

وَكانَ مَطلُوباً مِنْهُمْ أنْ يُقَدِّمُوا تَقْدِماتٍ صاعِدَةً كامِلَةً للهِ صَباحاً وَمَساءً عَلَى مَذْبَحِ التَّقْدِماتِ الصّاعِدَةِ، وَفْقَ كُلِّ ما هُوَ مَكْتُوبٌ فِي شَرِيعَةِ اللهِ الَّتِي أمَرَ إسْرائِيلَ باتِّباعِها.

41 a nd with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the Lord, because his mercy endureth for ever;

وَبَقِيَ مَعَهُمْ هَيمانُ، وَيَدُوثُونُ، وَبَقِيَّةُ المُختارِينَ وَالمُعَيَّنِينَ بِالاسْمِ لِتَقْدِيمِ التَّسبيحِ للهِ: «لِأنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إلَى الأبَدِ.»

42 a nd with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should make a sound, and with musical instruments of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were porters.

وَكانَ مَعْهُما، أي مَعَ هَيمانَ وَيَدُوثُونَ، أبْواقٌ وَصُنُوجٌ لِلَّذِينَ يَعزِفُونَ عَلَيها وَآلاتٌ لِعَزْفِ تَرانِيمَ للهِ. وَكانَ أبْناءُ يَدُوثُونَ مَسْؤُولِينَ عَنِ البَوّابَةِ.

43 A nd all the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house.

ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ الشَّعبُ كُلُّهُمْ إلَى بُيُوتِهِمْ. وَرَجِعَ داوُدُ لِيُبارِكَ بَيتَهُ.
