1 Y e shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the Lord your God.

«لا تَصنَعُوا لَكُمْ أوثاناً، وَلا تُقِيمُوا أنْصاباً تَذْكارِيَّةً لَكُمْ، وَلا تَضَعُوا تِمثالاً مَنحُوتاً فِي أرْضِكُمْ لِتَسجُدُوا أمامَهُ، لِأنِّي أنا إلَهُكُمْ.

2 Y e shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord.

«احَفَظُوا أيّامَ الرّاحَةِ، وَاحْتَرِمُوا مَكانِيَ المُقَدَّسَ. أنا اللهُ.

3 I f ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;

«إنْ عِشْتُمْ بِحَسَبِ شَرائِعِي وَحَفِظْتُمْ وَصايايَ وَعَمِلْتُمْ بِها،

4 t hen I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

فَإنِّي سَأُعطِيكُمُ الأمطارَ فِي أوقاتِها المُناسِبَةِ لِتُنتِجَ الأرْضُ مَحاصِيلَها، وَأشْجارُ الحَقلِ ثَمَرَها.

5 A nd your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.

سَيَستَمِرُّ دَرْسُ الحُبُوبِ حَتَّى وَقتِ قِطافِ العِنَبِ. وَيَستَمِرُّ قِطافُ العِنَبِ حَتَّى وَقتِ البِذارِ. فَسَيَكُونُ لَدَيكُمْ طَعامٌ كَثِيرٌ، وَسَتَعِيشُونَ بِأمانٍ فِي أرْضِكُمْ.

6 A nd I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.

سَأُعطِي سَلاماً لِأرضِكُمْ، فَتَنامُوا بِسَلامٍ، وَلَنْ يُخِيفَكُمْ شَيءٌ فِيما بَعْدُ. وَسَأُخرِجُ الحَيواناتِ المُؤذِيَةَ مِنْ أرْضِكُمْ، وَلَنْ تَقْتَحِمَ الجُيُوشُ أرْضَكُمْ.

7 A nd ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.

«سَتُطارِدُونَ أعداءَكُمْ وَتَهزِمُونَهُمْ وَتَقتُلُونَهُمْ بِالسَّيفِ.

8 A nd five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.

سَيُطارِدُ خَمسَةٌ مِنكُمْ مِئَةَ رَجُلٍ، وَيُطارِدُ مِئَةُ رَجُلٍ عَشْرَةَ آلافِ رَجُلٍ. فَسَتَهزِمُونَ أعداءَكُمْ وَتَقتُلُونَهُمْ بِالسَّيفِ.

9 F or I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.

«سَأعتَنِي بِكُمْ وَأُعطِيكُمْ أولاداً كَثِيرِينَ، وَأحفَظُ عَهدِي مَعَكُمْ.

10 A nd ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new.

سَيَكُونُ لَدَيكُمْ ما يَكفِي مِنَ المَحاصِيلِ لِأكثَرَ مِنْ سَنَةٍ، فَتَتَخَلَّصُونَ مِنَ المَحصُولِ القَدِيمِ، لَيَتَّسِعَ المَكانُ لِلمَحصُولِ الجَدِيدِ.

11 A nd I will set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you.

وَسَأسْكُنُ بَينَكُمْ، وَلَنْ أرفُضَكُمْ.

12 A nd I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.

وَسأسْيرُ بَينَكُمْ، وَسَأكُونُ إلَهَكُمْ، وَسَتَكُونُونَ شَعبِيَ.

13 I am the Lord your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.

أنا إلَهُكُمُ الَّذِي أخرَجَكُمْ مِنْ أرْضِ مِصرَ لِئَلّا تَظَلُّوا عَبِيداً لَهُمْ. أنا كَسَرْتُ قُيُودَكُمْ، وَجَعَلْتُكُمْ تَسِيرُونَ شامِخِينَ غَيرَ مُنحَنِينَ. عُقُوبَةُ العِصيان

14 B ut if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;

«لَكِنْ إنْ لَمْ تُطِيعُونِي وَلَمْ تَعمَلُوا بِكُلِّ هَذِهِ الوَصايا،

15 a nd if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:

وَإنْ رَفَضْتُمْ شَرائِعِي وَأبغَضْتُمْ أحكامِي فَلَمْ تُطِيعُوا وَصايايَ لَكِنْ خَرَقْتُمْ عَهدِي،

16 I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

فَإنِّي سَأعمَلُ هَذا بِكُمْ: سَأجلِبُ عَلَيكُمُ الوَباءَ وَالحُمَّى الَّتِي تُفسِدُ العُيُونَ وَتُتلِفُ الجَسَدَ. سَتَزرَعُونَ بُذُورَكُمْ وَلَنْ تَنتَفِعُوا بِها، بَلْ سَيَأكُلُها أعداؤُكُمْ.

17 A nd I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.

سَأُواجِهُكُمْ، وَسَيَهزِمُكُمْ أعداؤُكُمْ، وَيَحْكُمُكُمْ مُبْغِضُوكُمْ. فَتَهرُبُونَ وَلَيْسَ مَنْ يُطارِدُكُمْ.

18 A nd if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.

«فَإنْ لَمْ تُطِيعُونِي بَعدَ كُلِّ هَذِهِ الأُمُورِ فَإنِّي سَأُعاقِبُكُمْ سَبعَةَ أضعافٍ عَلَى خَطاياكُمْ.

19 A nd I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass:

سَأُحَطِّمُ كِبرِياءَكُمُ. فَسَأجَعَلُ السَّماءَ فَوقَكُمْ كَالحَديدِ، وَالأرْضَ تَحْتَكُمْ كَالنُّحاسِ.

20 a nd your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.

سَتَتْعَبُونَ بِلا فائِدَةٍ، فَلَنْ تُعطِيَ أرْضُكُمْ مَحاصِيلَها، وَلا أشجارُكُمْ ثِمارَها.

21 A nd if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.

«فَإنْ وَاصَلْتُمْ عِصيانِي وَعَدَمَ طاعَتِي، فَإنِّي سَأُعاقِبُكُمْ سَبعَةَ أضعافٍ عَلَى خَطاياكُمْ كَما قُلْتُ.

22 I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your high ways shall be desolate.

سَأُطلِقُ عَلَيكُمُ الوُحُوشَ البَرِّيَّةَ، فَيَأخُذُونَ أولادَكُمْ وَيُفنُونَ حَيواناتِكُمْ. سَيَتْرُكُونَ قَلِيلينَ مِنكُمْ، فَتَخلُو الطُّرُقُ مِنَ النّاسِ.

23 A nd if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me;

«فَإنْ لَمْ تَخضَعُوا بَعدَ كُلِّ هَذا، لَكِنْ وَاصَلْتُمْ عِصيانِي،

24 t hen will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins.

فَإنِّي سَأُعادِيكُمْ وَأضرِبُكُمْ سَبعَةَ أضعافٍ عَلَى خَطاياكُمْ.

25 A nd I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

سَأجلِبُ جُيُوشاً عَلَيكُمْ لِأُعاقِبَكُمْ عَلَى خَرقِكُمْ لِعَهدِي. إنْ تَجَمَّعْتُمْ فِي مُدُنِكُمْ لِأجلِ الحِمايَةِ، فَسَأُرسِلُ وَباءً بَينَكُمْ، وَسَأُسَلِّمُكُمْ إلَى أعدائِكُمْ لِيَتَسَلَّطُوا عَلَيكُمْ.

26 A nd when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.

سَأقَلِّلُ طَعامَكُمْ، حَتَّى تَخْبِزُ عَشْرُ نِساءٍ خُبزَكُمْ كُلَّهُ فِي فُرنٍ واحِدٍ، وَيُوَزِّعْنَهُ قِطَعاً صَغيرَةً. سَتَأكُلُونَ لَكِنْ لَنْ تَشبَعُوا.

27 A nd if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;

«فَإنْ لَمْ تُطِيعُونِي بَعدَ هَذا، بَلِ وَاصَلْتُمْ مُقاوَمَتِي وَعِصيانِي،

28 t hen I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.

فَإنِّي سَأُقاوِمُكُمْ بِغَضَبٍ، وَسَأُعاقِبُكُمْ سَبعَةَ أضعافٍ عَلَى خَطاياكُمْ.

29 A nd ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.

سَيَكُونُ جُوعُكُمْ عَظِيماً جِدّاً حَتَّى إنَّكُمْ سَتَأكُلُونَ لَحمَ أبْنائِكُمْ وَبَناتِكُمْ.

30 A nd I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.

سَأُدَمِّرُ مُرتَفَعاتِكُمْ، وَسَأهدِمُ مَذابِحَ البَخُورِ الَّتِي لَكُمْ، وَسَأضَعُ جُثَثَكُمْ عَلَى جُثَثِ أصنامِكُمْ، وَسَتَعافُكُمْ نَفْسِي.

31 A nd I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours.

سَأُدَمِّرُ مُدُنَكُمْ، وَسَأجعَلُ أماكِنَكُمُ المُقَدَّسَةَ مُقفِرَةً خَرِبَةً، وَلَنْ أُسَرَّ بِرَوائِحِ ذَبائِحِكُمْ.

32 A nd I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it.

سَأُخَرِّبُ الأرْضَ، حَتَّى إنَّ أعداءَكُمُ الَّذِينَ سَيَحتَلُّونَها سَيَكُونُونَ مَصدُومِينَ مِنها.

33 A nd I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.

سَأُشَتِّتُكُمْ فِي كُلِّ الأُمَمِ، وَسَأُجَرِّدُ سَيفِي مِنْ غِمدِهِ ضِدَّكُمْ. سَتُصبِحُ أرْضُكُمْ مَهجُورَةً وَمُدُنُكُمْ خَرِبَةً.

34 T hen shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies’ land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths.

«حِينَئِذٍ، سَتُعَوِّضُ الأرْضُ عَنْ سَنَواتِ راحَتِها وَهِيَ مَهجُورَةٌ، بَينَما أنتُمْ فِي أرْضِ أعدائِكُمْ. فَسَتَستَرِيحُ الأرْضُ وَتَتَمَتَّعْ بِسَنَواتِ راحَتِها.

35 A s long as it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.

وَما دامَتْ مَهجُورَةً، سَتَسْتَرِيحُ عِوَضاً عَنْ سِنينِ الرّاحَةِ التِي حُرِمِتْ مِنْها وَانْتُمْ ساكِنونَ فِيها.

36 A nd upon them that are left alive of you I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth.

وَسَأُدْخِلُ الخَوفَ فِي قُلُوبِ الباقِينَ مِنكُمْ، فَيَهرُبُونَ حَتَّى مِنْ صَوتِ وَرَقَةِ شَجَرٍ طائِرَةٍ. تَهرُبُونَ كَما لَوْ أنَّ أحَدَهُمْ يُطارِدُكُمْ بِسَيفٍ، وَتَسقُطُونَ حَتَّى حِينَ لا يَكُونُ هُناكَ مَنْ يُطارِدُكُمْ.

37 A nd they shall fall one upon another, as it were before a sword, when none pursueth: and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies.

سَيَتَعَثَّرُ بَعضُكُمْ بِبَعضٍ كَما لَوْ أنَّكُمْ تَهرُبُونَ مِنَ السَّيفِ، حَتَّى حِينَ لا يَكُونُ هُناكَ مَنْ يُطارِدُكُمْ. «وَلَنْ تَكُونَ لَدَيكُمُ القُوَّةُ لِمُحارَبَةِ أعدائِكُمْ.

38 A nd ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.

سَتَمُوتُونَ بَينَ الأُمَمِ، وَسَتَختَفُونَ فِي أرْضِ أعدائِكُمْ.

39 A nd they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies’ lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.

وَسَيَفنَى الباقُونَ مِنكُمْ فِي أراضِي أعدائِهِمْ بِسَبَبِ خَطِيَّتِهِمْ، وَكَذَلِكَ بِسَبِبِ خَطِيَّةِ آبائِهِمْ. رجاءٌ دائِم

40 I f they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me;

«ثُمَّ يَعتَرِفُونَ بِخَطِيَّتِهِمْ وَخَطِيَّةِ آبائِهِمْ. سَيَعتَرِفُونَ بِعَدَمِ أمانَتِهِمْ وَبِمُقاوَمَتِهِمْ وَعِصيانِهِمْ لِي،

41 a nd that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity:

فأُقاوِمُهُمْ وَأجلِبُهُمْ إلَى أرْضِ أعدائِهِمْ. فَإنْ تَواضَعَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ غَيْرُ المُطَهَّرَةِ، وَقَبِلُوا عِقابِي لِخَطاياهُمْ،

42 t hen will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.

فَإنِّي سَأتَذَكَّرُ عَهدِي مَعَ يَعقُوبَ وَعَهدِيَ مَعَ إسْحاقَ وَعَهدِيَ مَعَ إبراهِيمَ، وَسَأتَذَكَّرُ الأرْضَ.

43 T he land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes.

«سَيَهْجُرُونَ أرْضَهَمْ، فَتُعَوِّضُ الأرْضُ سَنَواتِ راحَتِها وَهِيَ مَهجُورَةً. وَيَنالُ الباقُونَ مِنكُمُ العِقابَ عَلَى خَطِيَّتِهِمْ لِأجلِ رَفْضِهِمْ لِأحكامِي وَبُغْضِهِمْ لِشَرائِعِي.

44 A nd yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the Lord their God.

وَعَلَى الرُّغمِ مِنْ كُلِّ هَذا، وَبَينَما هُمْ فِي أرْضِ أعدائِهِمْ، لَنْ أرفُضَهُمْ وَلَنْ أبْغُضَهُمْ، فَيُبادوا جَمِيعا وَيُكْسَرُ عَهدِي مَعَهُمْ، لِأنِّي أنا إلَهُهُمْ.

45 B ut I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the Lord.

سَأتَذَكَّرُ عَهدِي مَعَ آبائِكُمُ الَّذِينَ أخرَجْتُهُمْ مِنْ أرْضِ مِصرَ عَلَى مَرأىً مِنْ كُلِّ الأُمَمِ، لِأكُونَ إلَهَهُمْ. أنا اللهُ.»

46 T hese are the statutes and judgments and laws, which the Lord made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.

هَذِهِ هِيَ الشَّرائِعُ وَالأحكامُ وَالتَّعلِيماتُ الَّتِي وَضَعَها اللهُ بَينَهُ وَبَينَ بَنِي إسْرائِيلَ مِنْ خِلالِ مُوسَى عَلَى جَبَلِ سِيناءَ.
