1 T he Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

«Salmo di Davide.» L'Eterno dice al mio Signore: «Siedi alla mia destra finché io faccia dei tuoi nemici lo sgabello dei tuoi piedi».

2 T he Lord shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

L'Eterno estenderà da Sion lo scettro della tua potenza. Domina in mezzo ai tuoi nemici.

3 T hy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.

Il tuo popolo si offrirà volenteroso nel giorno del tuo potere; nello splendore di SANTITA

4 T he Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

L'Eterno ha giurato e non si pentirà: «Tu sei sacerdote in eterno secondo l'ordine di Melchisedek».

5 T he Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.

Il Signore è alla tua destra. Egli distruggerà dei re nel giorno della sua ira.

6 H e shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.

Egli giudicherà le nazioni, le riempirà di cadaveri e distruggerà i governanti di gran parte della terra.

7 H e shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.

Berrà dal torrente per via e perciò alzerà il capo.
