1 T he Lord reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.

L'Eterno regna, tremino i popoli. Egli siede sopra i Cherubini tremi la terra.

2 T he Lord is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people.

L'Eterno è grande in Sion ed eccelso su tutti i popoli.

3 L et them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.

Essi celebreranno il tuo nome grande e tremendo. Egli è santo.

4 T he king’s strength also loveth judgment; thou dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.

Il Re è potente e ama la giustizia. Sei tu che hai stabilito il diritto e hai esercitato in Giacobbe giudizio e giustizia.

5 E xalt ye the Lord our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy.

Esaltate l'Eterno, il nostro DIO, e prostratevi davanti allo sgabello dei suoi piedi. Egli è santo.

6 M oses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the Lord, and he answered them.

Mosè ed Aaronne furono fra i suoi sacerdoti, e Samuele fra quelli che invocarono il suo nome, essi invocarono l'Eterno ed egli rispose loro.

7 H e spake unto them in the cloudy pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them.

Egli parlò loro dalla colonna della nuvola, ed essi osservarono le sue testimonianze e gli statuti che diede loro.

8 T hou answeredst them, O Lord our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.

Tu li esaudisti, o Eterno, nostro DIO. Tu fosti per loro un DIO che perdona, pur castigando i loro misfatti.

9 E xalt the Lord our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the Lord our God is holy.

Esaltate l'Eterno il nostro DIO, e adorate sul suo monte santo, perché l'Eterno il nostro DIO, è santo.
