1 T he Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

The Lord says to my Lord: “ Sit at My right hand Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”

2 T he Lord shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

The Lord will stretch forth Your strong scepter from Zion, saying, “ Rule in the midst of Your enemies.”

3 T hy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.

Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power; In holy array, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew.

4 T he Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

The Lord has sworn and will not change His mind, “You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.”

5 T he Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.

The Lord is at Your right hand; He will shatter kings in the day of His wrath.

6 H e shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.

He will judge among the nations, He will fill them with corpses, He will shatter the chief men over a broad country.

7 H e shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.

He will drink from the brook by the wayside; Therefore He will lift up His head.
